Safety concern at Lafayette & Bedford G station — man grabbing women

Just want to caution people to be on the lookout around the southeast corner of Lafayette and Bedford, near the G steps. There is a man who frequently loiters there, and while he has generally seemed harmless, over the past three days I’ve seen him standing at the base of the steps near the turnstiles, lunging toward several young women and asking them for money. This morning, I saw him grab one woman by the arm. Just wanted to flag it so people are aware and can stay alert when entering the station.

Standby race chances...

I'm one race away from completing 9+1 and I'm on the standby list for Abbott Dash, Race to Deliver, Frosty 5K, and Ted Corbitt. I joined all four lists on June 25 (missed registration on June 8th).

I know no one can say for sure, but based on past years, what do you think my chances are of getting into at least one of them? Any guidance is appreciated!

Thoughts on Serena Wolf

I've always really liked her. She seems funny, down-to-earth, and genuinely approachable. And she has such great stye! But over time I've found myself feeling more conflicted.

I've also always side-eyed the amount of privilege she had from the start. It's hard not to wonder how much growing up with that kind of wealth and security helped launch her career.(Her dad is Dick Wolf, creator of Law & Order - pretty cool if you ask me!) I'm not saying she isn't talented, but she clearly started from a place that most people never will, and I don't feel like that's really acknowledged.

The other thing that surprised me was her pregnancy announcement. She's been pretty candid over the years about being on the fence about having kids, so I was genuinely caught off guard. Obviously people are allowed to change their minds, and I'm happy for her!

I think I'm just a little disappointed, if I'm being honest. Maybe it's because I related to her indecision, and now I don't feel that same connection I think it's just the combination of everything. The privilege, the very wealthy luxury lifestyle (she and her husband have a huge apartment in the city, huge house in the Hampton, and go on luxury vacations quite a bit), and now this all make me feel a little less connected to her than I used to. I'm curious if anyone else has had the same reaction, or if it's just me.
