WiFi password sharing block possible?
I do not currently have starlink but will be getting it to work remote from a rural location until about November.
Here’s the thing. I’m fine sharing my WiFi with one neighbour (let’s call them first neighbour) when they’re visiting, but not the second. I don’t trust that second neighbour at all.
*Not* sharing is not an option with first neighbour (it’s a whole thing, and yes I’m a pushover and need to get better with just saying no, but I can’t at this point. We’re seriously rural and one little issue causes big issues and we’re out in the middle of nowhere where you sometimes need to depend on a neighbour).
Here’s the issue-I know first neighbour would just blab the password to second neighbour. So I wouldn’t be giving first neighbour the password and I’d just put my password into their phone for them, but first and second neighbour both have iPhones and I know you can share the WiFi password between iPhones without actually knowing said password. I could easily see them doing this without my knowledge or agreement.
Is there any way to block this on starlink? Or is there a WPS button only setup option? Or some firewall/control where I have to manually approve devices trying to connect?
Any help would be appreciated with this! And I know… I know I’m struggling with just saying no. I need to get better. But it’s a work in progress.
