accidentally downloaded .scr file

i was downloading a movie from telegram (assumed it was safe since i've used only a few times before and never had issues) so i was careless and downloaded a .scr file. i didnt open it, as soon as the download was complete, windows defender sent a notification saying the file was detected to be trojan and the file was quarantined.

i panicked and removed the file, ran a windows defender scan again and it was clear, the history also said threat was removed. i checked my downloads, task manager for unnecessary usage, found nothing, so i switched off the wifi and shut the laptop off just in case. im just really worried since this is the first time its happening. what else should i do? please help thank you

Are all indian moms ultimately the same, no matter what?

forgive me if this is a long post, i just wanted to let it out, so im 25 and recently moved back home for competitive exam prep, and this is the first time after school that im home for this long. my parents i've always thought were very open minded compared to others generally and my mom particularly has always been really understanding, we're like proper best friends.

Thats why what happened today really made me question things.

So today, i was talking to a relative of mine since they called after so long and i noticed my moms face changed as soon as she realised i was talking to them. As soon as i cut the call, she looked really annoyed and i asked her what happened, she told me she didnt like that i was talking to those relatives (mainly my cousin brother whos like 12 yrs old).

I thought she was kidding, so i started laughing and she said my cousin brother had disrespected her once in a family event 2 years back by ignoring her when she called him and kept ignoring her throughout the event. I really didn't think much of it and asked her why its such a big deal since he's a kid anyway and getting annoyed for talking over the phone seemed too much for something like this. again, i said it in a casual playful tone like we usually talk.

and my mom immediately says "as long as you're in my house, im allowed to tell you what to do and what not" i was really confused at this response, so i asked her what she meant by "my house" she says "when you go to your house, you can do whatever you want, but this is my house not yours" i was really shocked because my mom has never said anything like this before and has always stood up to everyone who spoke this way.

Also recently when my grandma (mom's mom) came to visit us, she said something similar to my mom and she got really offended that her mom would say "my home" instead of "our home" while talking about her birth home and was crying after my grandma left.

Now, shes doing the same thing to me, when smth like this can hurt her after 27 yrs of marriage, why wouldn't it hurt me, considering i've moved back home after 7 years?

I dont really know if im over reacting for something trivial, but this surely has made me think, do all Indian moms ultimately think this way, no matter how friendly and open minded they seem?
