Daycare Updates/Photos
Hi! Today I dropped my dog off at a daycare she’s been going to for a couple months. We go sporadically a couple times a month and usually they’ll send a report (like the screenshot) somewhere between mid to end of day. I always schedule online to pick up and drop off and have been consistent with those times. I typically drop her off on days I’m not working from home.
For two visits, I got them less than 30 minutes after I dropped her off, which I thought was odd and funny, but I moved on.
The last handful I haven’t gotten anything at all. Again, not the end of the world, but I decided to ask today when they text me to ask if I wanted her nails trimmed (they do promos on Thursdays for nail trims). The staff responded that they’d make sure to do send a report today.
Well, my sister picked her up and I sent her the screenshot of no report as a haha more than a complaint. My sister mentioned it to the staff and the woman said she’d text the work group chat about it and spent some time looking through Sadie’s file to make sure all my contact info was good to go.
They finally sent the report about an hour after Sadie was home and it was a sweet report: “Sadie loves to run laps around the daycare room and then plop down for a nap. She is such a sweetheart, we love having her here.”
The only thing is that they definitely used old pictures of her. She’s got medium length hair that I have to get cut regularly or she starts looking crazy, so I clocked it right away as she’s been groomed pretty recently.
I’m not going to make a big stink about it because in the end, she’s happy, healthy, and tired when she gets home, but I was thinking that I’d rather of just had an, “I’m sorry, we didn’t get to it today because we were busy” text. That would’ve been totally fine.
But I keep thinking if they’re recycling an old photo, it makes it reasonable to wonder whether the rest of the report actually reflects the day too. Like someone was just like, “here, damn”.
I can’t tell if I’m being insane or a Karen if I bring it up? Or should I just let it go?
