In the APS, State Goverment's and Local Goverment jobs application process why am I being asked about my gender, race or sexuality?

None of these characteristics or personal information should be required to apply for a role.

Who should Mullin go too on Friday night?

I think Scotty has a big call to make. Walsh, Smith and Cripps. Cripps is possibily to big for Mullin to tag and would think Atkins plays a defensive role on him. That leaves Walsh and Smith who tore up Melbourne. Both have incredible tanks and can run all day meaning Mullin is the more suited matchup who does Scotty send him to and why?

"Genuine question: why do we mean-test youth payments to the cent, but hand out aged care subsidies to millionaires

Older Australians who own their home outright and have hundreds of thousands (or millions) in savings can still access:

  • Council-subsidised cleaning
  • Home Care Packages worth tens of thousands a year for things like physio
  • Discounted podiatry, dental, and other allied health
  • Seniors concessions that test income, not assets

Meanwhile someone in their 20s or 30s today is paying full tax from day one, handing 40-50%+ of their income to rent, priced out of buying even with a stable job, and increasingly stuck living at home into their late 20s or 30s — not by choice.

Aged care is a real need and I'm not saying no one deserves support. But the system barely distinguishes between a pensioner with nothing and a retiree sitting on a paid-off $2M house. Compare that to youth payments, which get clawed back the second you earn slightly more.

We've built a system that protects wealth that already exists, while doing almost nothing for the generation trying to build wealth for the first time. Then we act surprised young people are angry or leaving.

Am I missing something, or is this just how the settings are meant
