I'm coming to PoliMi to do a master's this September, and I want to do a summer internship between 1st and 2nd year - and applications are soon!
But looking at the academic calendar, the 'break' is only from Aug 1 to Aug 24, and the rest of the summer is all exams. How do people get the time to do internships? Is there a modified exam schedule? Why is the exam period so long?
(I'm used to a North American schedule, where classes end in April, you have 2 weeks of exams, then you have May-August free to do an internship if you want it.)
