Hello Friends, I will be in Dublin, Ireland on business and would like to attend a Church of Ireland, Presbyterian, or Evangelical Church on Sunday.

I prefer liturgical with modern instrumentation and evangelical-moderate theological stance but happy to go full on contemporary otherwise.

I appreciate all your help! When I type in “churches in Dublin” it’s all the tourist stuff for the cathedral and it’s a bit overwhelming.

If you remember about a year ago a user came on here and said he was going to sue GEICO for civil rights violations and employment discrimination allegedly because GEICO forced him to “pee” his pants at his desk because they wouldn’t excuse him to use the bathroom.

He made a crusading Reddit post about how he was going to get justice for all the GEICO employees etc…

I, like many, told him he didn’t have a case and all the lawyers who were “too busy” were just being polite when turning down his case (because we all know plaintiff lawyers are too busy to make money).

Well, his case was dismissed this week by a Federal Judge. Two counts without prejudice and one with prejudice (meaning he can’t file again on that count) which means his case is effectively over.

I got in trouble with the Mod’s for posting his name (even though he self Doxxed himself in his original post) but you can look up the case and see the order if you type in:

I was 10 when the first book came out and I remember waiting in line at midnight and taking a day off at my summer job when Deathly Hallows was released. Admittedly, when I would “re-read” the series over the years I would skip books and parts I didn’t like.

When the full cast audio versions came out, I started listening to them and I am in awe of the performances and the story. While I have “re-read” the series multiple times, it’s been 7+ years and with the UK version of the books being read, it has captured my heart, imagination, and (pun very much intended) the magic of the series in a way I haven’t felt since I was a kid.

I am in awe of JK Rowling and how the story comes together so beautifully. So intricate and so beautiful. But man I am just going crazy with the imagination. I want more stories set in the world of Harry Potter. After finishing it, I would love these three story lines fleshed out:

1.) The First Wizarding War and the Rise of Voldemort. A trilogy that details the rise of Voldemort and the creation of his horcruxes and the first Order of the Phoenix concluding with the death of James and Lily.

2.) A single book on the life of Albus Dumbledore from first year at Hogwarts to the duel with Gwindelwald and his capture of the elder wand.

3.) A two book series detailing the aftermath of the downfall of HP and Harry becoming an Auror eradicating the ministry, pure-bloodism, and ending with Harmonie as Minister of Magic, Harry becoming a teacher at Hogwarts (head cannon I know), and Ron resigning as an Auror and joining his brother at the joke shop.

What other story lines would you like to see happy?

I am listening to the full cast audiobooks and I was doing some look up on some of the minor characters and events in the HP world. I keep running across things mentioning the calamity, Jacob, and Jacob’s siblings.

I am not super into video games or active on Pottermore.

Can anyone explain in a brief way, what and who these people/events are and whether they are canon? Thank you!

It’s been a while since I’ve read all the books but I’m re-listening to the full cast audiobooks. I’m on OOTP and wow, Keira Knightley is an amazing Umbridge. I was reading the wiki about Umbridge and it says that she is the one who ordered the Dementor attack. Is that confirmed in the books? I don’t remember reading that 10 years ago.

What ever happened to her after Deathly Hallows?
