FTE role in India in bank (36 lakhs) vs third-party BA role in London (67k) — which is better long term?

I’m potentially choosing between two very different career paths:

Option 1 – Mumbai
Permanent FTE role with a global bank
Package: around ₹36–37 LPA
Direct employee of the bank
Better internal mobility, ownership and long-term stability
I stay with my parents in Mumbai, so no rent expense

Option 2 – London
Business Analyst role with a global bank, but as a third-party consultant
Package: £67k base + 10–15% discretionary bonus
International/London exposure
Would remain on the consulting company’s payroll rather than becoming an employee of the client bank
Would need to manage London rent and living costs myself after the initial relocation support
Ignoring the excitement of London and looking at the next 5–10 years of career growth and financial outcome, which would you choose?

Does London + international exposure justify staying a third-party consultant, or is being a direct FTE at a global bank in Mumbai the better long-term move?

₹27.5 LPA in India vs £55–60k in London on ICT visa — is the move worth it?

I’m 29, currently based in Mumbai and working in the finance domain with around 6.5 years of experience.

My current CTC in India is approximately ₹27.5 LPA. My company is considering moving me to London for a client assignment starting in September.

The expected package is:
£55k–£60k base salary

Bonus and pension in addition to the base
One-year ICT/Senior or Specialist Worker visa
Initial client funding confirmed for four months, with a possibility of extension

Relocation, flights and temporary accommodation are still unclear.

I would appreciate honest views from Indians currently living in the UK:

  1. Is £55k–£60k a reasonable salary for a single person in London?
  2. How much can I realistically save while sharing accommodation?
  3. Is moving from ₹27.5 LPA in India financially worthwhile at this salary?
  4. How risky is it when the visa is for one year but the initial client funding is confirmed for only four months?
  5. What relocation benefits should I negotiate before accepting?
  6. Does one year of London experience provide enough long-term career value to justify the move?

Would appreciate views from anyone who has made a similar internal transfer from India to the UK.

[29M] Ex [27F] broke 15 days NC with a late-night text and "accidental" call after a 1.5-year relationship. Did I handle this right? (Want her back)

Body:
Hey everyone, looking for some perspective on my situation.

The Context:
My ex [27F] and I [29M] were in a 1.5-year relationship. She broke up with me on May 3rd due to constant fighting. She said she was emotionally drained. I wanted to sit and resolve it, but she refused. On May 6th, I asked to meet for 10 minutes; she said "I'll let you know." I stopped chasing and went totally silent.

The Incident:
On May 14th at 11:50 PM (after 8 days of total silence), she texted asking about my dad. I replied the next morning saying he's okay. She then asked how I was doing.
Before I could reply, she called me. I was in a work meeting and missed it. I called back an hour later and asked calmly, "Bolo kya hua?" (Tell me, what happened?)
She instantly panicked/saved face and said, "Galti se lag gaya call." (Called by mistake). I pushed once more ("Aree bol na kya hua"), but she repeated it was a mistake. So I said, "Thik hai fir me rakhta hu call" (Okay then, I'm hanging up) and cut the call.
Later, I replied to her WhatsApp saying I’m okay, and ended with a polite, *"Hope you’re doing good as well."*She said "yes" two hours later, and I stopped replying.

My Dilemma:
I still want her back. My friends are saying I made her uncomfortable by being too upfront with *"bolo kya hua"*and that I should have made casual small talk instead to build a flow. I'm also terrified she will think I'm moving on and then she will move on too.
Did my direct approach ruin my chances, or was it the right move?
Since she was emotionally drained during the breakup, should I maintain silence and wait for her next move, or text her in a few days?
Thanks!
