Just thought it would be fun to make different moodboards for my roots with each root as the focus. I’d love to see yours!

I recently watched Netflix’s Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen” and loved Camila Morrone’s performance. Then I looked her up and discovered that we’re root twins! I’m really in love with her style and see her as one of my style muses now.
So the woman who climbed to the top of the Empire State Building with her now fiancé, Angela Nikolau, is a Cancer. And now everyone and their mama are in the comments of that post saying “This isn’t Cancer behavior! Cancers are homebodies! She must have a fire moon or something!” Maybe she does, but not my point.
The only reason you’d think that this isn’t Cancer behavior is because of the modern rulership scheme and the association of Cancer with the 4th House. But for thousands of years, it was never supposed to be that way. Cancer was never described as a homebody until very very recently.
Traditionally, the Moon is associated with the 3rd House in the planetary joys scheme, which again, has been around for 2000 years. The 3H is about wandering, local community, ritual, routine and mundane tasks that take us away from home. Grocery runs, seeing friends, going for a walk, taking the car to the shop. All of these things require us to leave home and come back later. The idea that Cancers are complete homebodies who never go on adventures is a tired stereotype that is not based in reality. Cancer is not just a stay-at-home mom, far from it. For a Cancer rising, our 10H is Aries and our 5H is Scorpio. We want to be seen, we want to be badass, and we want a passionate and deep romance that drives us a little nuts.
What people forget is that Cancer is the other luminary besides Leo. “Luminary”, as in, shining brightly, leadership, radiance, power, authority. Cancer is a queen in the same way Leo is a king. The ancients described Cancer as popular, funny, theatrical and tenacious. Think of a full moon - is there anything more “look at me” than a big bright full moon in the night sky (besides the literal sun)?
Anyway. Just writing all this because the modern rulership scheme makes my ass itch and spreads misunderstandings about the signs and houses. Angela Nikolau displayed textbook Cancer behavior, lmao. Ok end of rant ♥️
I just pulled a couple of cards and wanted to see what messages came through. This felt like a particularly powerful spread, I have some ideas but I’m curious to see others’ interpretations on it!
