Hello all I stumbled upon this subreddit when searching for info on the Sony icf -7600G.

Last week my wife and I were sitting on my balcony when I realised that we needed a radio for some background music. So I went on a second hand app and the first thing I see is the Sony for 90€.

This led me into a rabbit hole of searching about models, brands and what not and I realised how intrigued I was as a kid listening to foreign stations. I especially remember some Eastern Arabic songs me being in Greece.

Long story story I paid around 90€ plus shipping for the Sony which I am waiting eagerly to arrive in a few days. But in order to scratch my itch I have been reading about Xhdata and Tecsun and all the other vintage Sony ones and I am thinking of buying another one.

The question is, is the 7600G , provided it works ok enough for me starting out? I'm thinking that sooner or later I am buying the XHdata 880 as well. What do you reckon?
