As it should be, yet again!

Only slightly annoying achievement was Guido one, not because it's particularly hard but it says starting as when in fact you need to do as him. I wasted quite amount of time on my first try because of this detail.

The Father, The Son and The Holy Grandson was a bit annoying too, it's super easy but it's boring to play 3 generations. Run was almost ruined when the game decided randomly to cancel the decision to not seek the Papacy and I almost got elected. Literally 1 month after I noticed and took the decision again the Pope died.

I'm pretty sure education is broken in my save

Playing the same save for 160 years as Byzantines. I've pretty much everything besides intellect traits for good education and I know how it works for guardians, etc... I've 8k hours in this game.

Last generation from 8 children, 5 of them got 5 stars, 2 got 4 stars and 1 got 3 stars which was the youngest and I probably forgot to give her a guardian. Which has been what happens for maybe 100 years in the save, consistently 4 stars, sometimes 5 stars and rarely a 3 stars.

Current generation from 3 children so far, 3 times 3 stars. Two of them my character with pretty good stats educated them since before their were 6, their education focus were one of the green ones and weren't changed since it was set before they were 6 years and still all of them got 'bad' education.

I tried quit to main menu, start a new random game, quit and load the save again. Next child will be 16 soon but I haven't educated him personally, let's wait and see what will happen.

Double raid means twice the fun, right?

I got a quest to get a 3 years old girl and fight 2 raids from 2 different factions. Obviously didn't worth doing it but I was bored. They spawned right next to each other! This game never ceases to amaze me.

Crusades in a 100 years save in a nutshell

I couldn't even get the crusader trait because I was hosting a grand wedding and this battle and a couple sieges ended it. 1178 start btw.

The two most obnoxious events in a 15s spam

First one it's garbage because it ignores all the travel mechanics, it's just a pure rng thing. Should at least make sense in have requisites to fire instead of 1% chance.

Second it's the most obnoxious of the entire game. Characters are the only resource in the game that matters, everything else it's ridiculously easy to get. If I want to play as adventurer I can click on a character and set it as favorite child. I still don't know how they added this forced adventurer on succession without a setting to disable it.

What am I missing with different immunity gain on the same hospital?

I've these beds on the same hospital, one next to each other and for some reason unknown to me, both beds on the left side (bed 3 and one above it) have a bit less immunity gain than the others and as shown in the screenshots. It's not related with the quality of the bed.

Maybe because they're closest to the 'rocks' on the left?

Thanks

Artillery x Carriers battleships x neutron cruisers against "real" contingency crisis

First off this is not to fuel an anti-meta speech or to hate on some youtuber, it's to show my experience in PVE with neutron cruisers not being as good as people make it sound. Then I also added to the test the carrier missiles battleships from a recent YT video.

This test it's done against a 3x contigency crisis GA, in one real save. Why contingency you ask? Because imo it's the most balanced fleet, it would skew the results if I test only against a shield heavy and low armor fleet or vice versa.

Naval Cap: All tests were done with the same ~5k nav cap usage plus 3k GDF, so ~8k in total. It's 7 fleets, 6 of them with 1 Titan (tracking), GDF with 3 Titans (tracking, fire rate and disengagement) and 1 Juggernaut (range).

When talking about costs to build, it doesn't include the Titans or Juggernaut because they're the same setup across the board which makes the cost the same. They will count in the cost to reinforce the fleets after the battle tho.

Designs and cost to build:

Carrier - 737k alloys

Artillery - 744k alloys

Cruiser - 795k alloys

Battles: All battles were in the same system, through the same farther away hyperlane. Using the same leaders, tech, civics, edicts, etc. To make conditions as neutral as possible. Example.

Their fleet power go from 1,39M/1,42M it's RNG but close enough. Our fleets are always at the same spot, because the ships are replaced after they're all parked there and because every fleet has at least one Titan when changing ship designs they're reinforced at the same spot.

Enemy system

Finally the numbers:

Each battle was ran 3 times, at the end of the battle the numbers are taken from the fleet manager tab. Numbers below are first the amount of ships lost, including Titans, Juggernaut, etc. Second number is the alloy cost to reinforce the fleets to full power.

Carrier + Missiles

1: 76 - 303,465

2: 49 - 174,941

3: 90 - 346,484

avg: 71.6 - 279.9k

Cruiser

1: 69 - 138,451

2: 52 - 105,869

3: 57 - 135,226

avg: 59.3 - 126.5k

Artillery

1: 8 - 26,415

2: 16 - 77,751

3: 8 - 26,415

avg: 12 - 43.5k

Buffs, Perks, misc:

Defender of the galaxy and all battle edicts.

Repeatables: 16x damage, 9x fire rate for kinnect, energy and explosive. Why this weird number? It was what I had when crisis spawned then using debug mode I made all equal to the different weapons to be kinda fair.

I honestly forgot the strike craft repeatables but small damage, with small percentage well maybe it could have been a tiny bit less terrible. Hardening it's bad for missiles, strike craft and bypass weapons which I think that's the reason to have the worst results on my tests. I guess I can redo the tests with the same amount of repeatables if there's any interest but I hardly think it will change that much, any percentage on top of a 6-17 damage will be a tiny increase.

Why not psionics?

Not every empire has access to it. I know zro launchers are better than the neutron ones but not everyone run psionic ascension 100% of the time, if you do I respect that.

is Dyson Swarm bugged or it got nerfed in 4.3 and they forgot to update the UI?

This star had base 7 energy

UI says +1500%

7 * 1500% = 105 energy

This is not first time I noticed the difference.

Another star that had base 7 energy, fully maxed Dyson Swarm gives 127 energy which it's not 3000% at all.

I'm a returning player after an year or so, back when we could afford way more ships and I play on GA.

It always annoyed me the guerrilla warfare AI uses from mid to late game because they know where your ships are and calculate the best path to avoid them and show up at random systems.

Back in the day my strategy was have way more fleets than I actually needed just for QoL and park fleets in choke points to ignore their 4 different 20k fleets attacking 4 different systems. As example, to stop those 4x 20k fleets I would park like a 60k fleet on every single choke point, L-cluster, worm hole so I could focus on my fleets and armies on their territory. Because if I parked 20-30k fleets, AI would in the fog of war get all their fleets together and attack one system destroying my tiny fleet.

Well, now I can't afford that so I can have a fleet maybe 2 to leave behind and actively track those small fleets all around which pisses me off so much that literally ruins the game. Sometimes I save scum and don't declare the war I know I can win just because it's so annoying that I don't want to deal with it.

How do you guys deal with this crap?
