Watched some shade twins videos of people on TikTok who looked similar to me, and well… that didn’t work. My best match to date is Loreal True Match in 1N, but it’s still not quite right. I thought 1.5N would be better (middle swatch) but well you can see obviously not LOL. I really want to try the new-ish Lumi Matte foundation from Maybelline but the shade range is so limited in Sweden and they have none of the shades I think would work :( 115 (far left) look like I’d be an Oompa Loompa. Sigh. For a country with a lot of fair people and skin like mine I don’t understand the shade ranges offered versus other countries.

I have struggled my entire life with finding a foundation that matches. I don’t even wear it now because nothing matches. I’ve always felt that they’re mostly too orange, but sometimes they’re too pink, but mostly I feel like I am so DESATURATED that everything has too much color somehow? And if I go light enough that there’s not as much pigment then obviously I look ghastly instead.

I’ve included as many pictures as possible, tried to capture in different lights as well as I could. For reference if it helps my natural hair color is ashy brown, and I prefer cool colors. Ive always thought I’m cool, but I’m starting to think I may be a cool leaning neutral. My current best match is NYX Bare with me concealer in vanilla but only as long as I do not wear it near my jaw lol. MAC matched me with N1 in their face and body foundation recently, but it’s so sheer and forgiving I don’t know how much that helps.

Edit: I just wanted to say thank you for all your kind words and recommendations! A lot of brands i have never even heard of, so now I have lots of stuff to try!
