bonus quantum drone

bonus quantum drone

read in another post that you can get an extra drone from the shop, confirming i just got my 20th drone for 25000, pretty cool! I was on day 114 and was lucky to have the money on hand. Wondering now if it stays in the shop pool after that, I'll update here if I come across another

main conservatory - all plorts in production

I wanted to see if i could put some of every slime type in my main area and this is what i came up with! The operation isn't fully automatic or the most efficient, but a lot of it runs by itself, just have to cull chickens or add roostros from time to time. I've been using 2 drones to pull free range plorts to market so the ground stays clear, though it could manage with 1 and next time i do this i want to try it with no drones. Toward the end is my take on the yolky blender in a corral for the plort collector (which was very useful early game, less needed now). Also a glimpse at my tap water puddle pond abomination xP Hope you enjoy!

edit: almost all plorts, i forgot I moved the pinks to the carnival in my sanctuary

danger gully - free range pop ~109

i never tried free ranging in slime rancher 1, so i've been experimenting with it during my first playthrough of 2 and having a lot of fun with it! Here we have 6 largo combinations that i thought would give me some trouble, all with favorite foods. I was testing as many as 30 largos in some sections but trimmed down to 18 in each. I get the occasional tarr, but i think with some more forethought i can plort-proof the divisions better, so i'll certainly be trying this again in the future.

Hyper-Sabers: rowdiest bois in the game, love them dearly but they can wiggle their way out of anything so i had to box them in, but at least its more space than a corral!

Twin-Hunters: not so bad so long as you give them enough space, pretty annoying if one gets out though.

Sloomber-Battys: the flying slimes overall have been easier to manage than expected, and even with daytime agitation they don't get too angy.

Honey-Tangles: i put honey in the center thinking it would draw any trouble makers to show me holes in my spacing, but tangle vines aren't nearly as bad as in SR1 so these guys are just chillin

Dervish-Crystals: the spikes aren't too bad but the the tornadoes are probably the second biggest source of problems for me, but it's not too bad. i think if i pushed the pears toward the area entrance with fans i would have fewer problems

Flutter-Booms: the last second addition to the expansion, i read about someone using linked cannons as a chicken auto-feeder and have had a lot of success with them myself. These are the only slimes that have been getting out for me, the explosions while they are in the air seem to give them too much height. I could box them in like the hypers, but i don't stay in this area long enough for it to be a huge deal.

would love to hear about any other problematic combinations or free ranging techniques others have tried!
