KBZK says malware, Chronicle I can't read more than the headline but that sensational payment sure seems like ransomware. Anyone got more info on this payment ?

The irony of this is they kept it quiet during the mill levy even though my daughters teacher told me weeks before that they lost network access. Failures like this and their response to them is part of why I've lost trust in the district and their communications team.

With respect to Guillermo del Toro's Cronos (I'm only having fun here, it was a good transfer). I really wish we had these beautiful Ron Fricke films in the best format possible.

They were shot on large format 65-70mm film and were scanned at 8k and have 30TB masters collecting dust. There are 4K transfers with HDR that are already available for Baraka and Samsara on itunes etc, so they don't even need to bring in a colorist unless they want to do DV. Looking at them side by side they are a huge upgrade on the SDR 1080p Bluray, even with the lower bitrate.

I'd love to see Chronos get the same treatment and own a nice physical box set of them all for $100. I get this is a niche market within a niche market, but these are reference level films. So it would seem like there's not much to do other than package it and profit.
