Got a mk8 Golf R a few weeks ago as a midlife crisis/weekend car. I need help deciding whether to jump off this cliff or not.

I've already been talking to a local APR dealer. Apparently I've got the right box codes to tune the ecu and tcu. Can someone please tell me why I shouldn't just go whole hog and get the APR turbo pack? From the research I've done, not a lot of people have done it. I understand that I'm probably overpaying for diminishing returns, but I'm willing to pay for that extra 40-50 hp. What do y'all think?
