It's a sci-fi comedy:
Vertebrae: A suggestible man discovers a talking skull and spine buried in his backyard and becomes obsessed with fulfilling a cosmic prophecy through a seductive process of degenerative self-improvement.

Here’s the pitch:
When a visiting mathematics student studying in Toronto is found dead, his body bent at impossible angles, investigators recover a notebook filled with strange geometric patterns.

As catastrophic events follow, from boiling rain to an expanding sinkhole that devours wildlife, CSIS officer Maya Talbot is assigned to investigate. When her brother Simon disappears near the epicenter, the case quickly becomes personal.

Worked with designer Clint English I found on Reedsy on the cover for my debut speculative thriller, The Mandala.

The goal was something atmospheric, modern, unsettling, and minimalist while still feeling commercial.
