When setting up my new iPhone I kept getting an “Unable to activate” message that stopped me from setting up my phone. I tried a different way by setting up using my old iPhone (the thing where you scan a blue pattern on the new phone), but I still kept getting error messages stopping me from restoring my back up. I eventually managed to set it up without the backup, and then erased the phone to start again. This time round everything worked perfectly, but online all I can see is people saying that an unable to activate message means there is a “baseband” issue.
The phone is working fine now so am I in the clear? Or is there an underlying hardware issue that’s going to cause issues in the future?
I hope I explained that okay, I’m a bit clueless.
Thank you!
