Rant: Nest / Google Home Interagation is BS

So I've been a customer of Nest from day one. I have a Hello Doorbell + 2 Outdoor IQ cameras..and I pay a subscription for storage.. With the Nest App I've never had much of a problem loading cameras and getting an instant live stream....

However.... Since integrating to Google Home, everything is so F'ing slow or doesn't work. I hear something outside, I want to check on my camera.. loading.... By the time it works and you try to go back to watch, error loading... Notifications... minutes later.

What's the point in getting an AI update when they can't get the basics right.

When my renewal comes to an end, I think I'm going to be moving away from the Nest brand. it's absolutely ridiculous.

Am I allowed to put panels here?

Hi all, I'm not too sure if anyone has been in a similar situation to me. My neighbor and I have attached garages. I have two questions.

  1. Can you have panels split across two roofs / buildings? E.g.Garage and main house roof?

  2. If yes, would there be a problem having panels installed on the highlighted part of the roof?

Edit. The red part of the roof is under my ownership.

Thanks in advance

It's the same freaking thing! (And it's not nice!)

So I can't remember who it was, but they posted these Sainsbury's Tiramisu Squares. They gave it a poor review, but I like to try things for myself - especially when it comes to Tiramisu, it's something I really enjoyed pre-vegan. Anyways, someone mentioned in the comments "LazyDay" too, so I picked both up. (I'm a big fan of LazyDay products.)

The OP who posted the Sainsbury's squares was right, they aren't nice. The LazyDay option is literally the same. Nothing different, it's clearly made in the same factory, same ingredients, appearance, etc. It wasn't nice.

Review for both products: 0/10.

Warranty Advice

Hi all,

I need some advice to understand where I stand off and/ or if anyone has any similar experiences with Tesla Warranty.

So I became an owner of a 2022, Tesla Model 3 in Feb this year. The car is still under warranty until Dec 2026. I noticed an issue where I'm hearing a whistling noise coming somewhere near the front passenger side when driving above 45 mph.

I've raised the issue with Tesla on 3 occasions:

First, a home call out, they adjusted the trim.

The second, home call out, replaced the trim.

Third a visit to Tesla service centre where they did some more adjustments.

Well, the issue has come back again, and I'm booked in for a 4th attempt at the Tesla service centre. This time I've asked for a senior technician to look at this issue.

Has anyone had multiple attempts of Tesla trying to fix something and not going to plan?

Thanks all.
