I'm sorry, J. I don't know if you'll ever read this, but I'd be lying if I said I stopped thinking about you. It's been a few months since your last message, "I hope you find what you're looking for."

The sad part is, I think I did. I found you. But maybe I rushed into believing that finding you meant we would find our way to each other, too.

It pains me to think that we could've been something, if only I had been patient, if only we had wanted the same things at the same time.

I don't regret finding you. I only wish I had known that sometimes, the things we truly want aren't meant to happen quickly. If I could go back, I'd be more patient with what was still unfolding. Perhaps we didn't need to know where it was going. We just needed to let it breathe, let it grow, and give it a litte more time.

I'll always wonder about the life we never got to live. Not because I can't let go, but because I'll always wonder, J.
