10K race shoe recommendation

I’ve got my first ever 10K race coming up in September with a goal of going sub 50 minutes.

M33, 85kg (187 lbs), 193cm (6”4)

5K PB - 24 mins

10K PB - 52 mins

Current shoes owned are:

- Novablast 5

- Superblast 2

- Superblast 3

- Endorphin Speed 4

I adored my SB2s and used them for most runs but they’re pretty dead now and not readily available in my size here in Aus. I recently replaced them with the SB3s but I’m not entirely sold on them and kind of regret not getting the Megablasts instead.

My ES4s are probably half a size too small, so not keen to use them for the race.

Options I’ve been considering include:

- Megablast

- Evo SL

- Endorphin Pro (am I fast enough for these?)

Wheels damaged by tyre shop

Last Friday I had new Michelin PS5s installed on my Golf R by my local Jax dealer. They were running super late and didn’t finish my car until after their closing time of 5pm. It was dark so I couldn’t see the wheels and tyres properly when leaving.

Over the weekend I checked them out properly and was very disappointed to find damage to all 4 of my wheels. Prior to this visit 3 out of the 4 wheels were in absolutely perfect condition with zero scratches or curb rash. I've owned the car since new in Sep 2018 and the only existing damage was to the wheel currently on the front left which occurred approx 4 years ago. The steering wheel has also had the leather cut in the bottom right quadrant during the visit to Jax.

I emailed them stating all the above details and their response was that they’re a professional business and have special tools so that scratches don’t happen.

I plan to visit the shop in person to take the discussion further, but wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and gotten anywhere with it?

Unfortunately I didn’t think to take photos of the wheel condition directly before the visit…
Attached a few photos of examples of the damage, but it’s a mix of scratches to the face and actual indentation on the exposed edge of the rim.
