Heading into stage 1, what are we going to be seeing a lot of? I’ve seen a few tier lists, but interested to see what people think

Hello guys, I have recently started playing champions and its my first real experience with 2v2 battles. I made it to the great ball tier on my first day (pokeball tier is so weird, most people just using the default starter team which makes sense I guess).

Seems like a dumb question, but should I always bring my mega pokemon? I am using a mega-froslass team that I saw on a youtube video (and was able to build as I have most of the switch games) which has been quite fun. But in the team preview if it seems like the mega is not good into most of their team, is it better to just go mega-less in that battle? Seems like leaving a lot of power on the table, but at the same time if 4/6 counter the mon, it seems kind of stupid to bring?
