Recommended towns for a quiet Japan getaway with a baby?

Visited Tokyo last year with my pregnant wife, and Osaka-Kyoto-Tokyo the year before. Considering a third annual trip later this year with my baby, who will be around 6m old by then.

Some thoughts:

  1. I’d like to visit a town where I’d ideally rent a car and use that as a main mode of transport. Don’t love the idea of trains with a baby and luggage in tow.

  2. I loved Nikko when I visited it for a day trip last year. Kamakura too. Looking for those sorta vibes

Would you think I should fly into Tokyo and drive straight to one of these spots? Or any other reccos?

Momcozy Kleanpal pro - are these watermarks? Already descaled.

I recently noticed that my momcozy kleanpal pro is leaving these lines or marks on the bottom of glass bottles after a regular wash and steam cycle. When I looked it up online, I see regular recommendations to the scale, the machine and to wash it using either a vinegar solution or a descaling tablet. I cleaned up my machine pretty comprehensively and started using a cozy descaling tablet, but it seems to not have had an effect.

I believe that the water in my house is not hard water. It is moderate and I always use filtered water although it’s not the same thing as distilled water. Any thoughts I’ve attached images.

Hi all, my wife is an exclusive pumper and we’ve been happily using our Momcozy Bottle Washer KleanPal Pro for around a month now. So far, so good, besides a bit of residue (but I think we need a descaling cycle because we’ve been using it so much).

However, I came across multiple discussions on Reddit of the plastic bits failing/disintegrating — including news of a recall going on in Korea for very similar-looking and possibly-white labeled bottle washers for defective parts: https://biz.chosun.com/en/en-retail/2025/08/28/4CCV3CYY55E27LOFM7QMOFKBEI/#

Obviously concerned about plastic breaking and affecting my baby bottles (which are all glass). I have some mild anxiety which has been exacerbated by being FTP, so I wanted to see how others are handling this and if they’ve been affected? Thank you.

Hi all. I’ve been using my Midea Combi Microwave Oven for awhile now, maybe 5-6 months, and ever since I started using it, I noticed the heating elements have these sort of brownish lines, running parallel to them. I’ve attached images of them — they’re the marks on the green heating elements.

They can’t be washed off, and they don’t feel rough or like rust to me. Is this normal? Separately the brackets holding them look pretty bad too — but I’m assuming this is grease buildup. Any thoughts?
