One drive just deleted all of my files, and nothing is showing up in the online recycle bin, or the restore function
Trying to stay calm.
Yesterday I uninstalled one drive from my PC by right clicking the fine and selecting ‘uninstall’, as I didn’t realise it was installed and don’t want any piece of it.
Today I realised the file was still in my folders, so I manually deleted it… and it took pretty much all my files including game save files & photos with it. When I try to access click files while searching them from my pc file directory I’m given the “windows cannot access these files”
I log in to one drive and check my recycle bin, nothing there. Great. Nothing in my files either. I gain a subscription purely to try and use the ‘restore your onedrive’ method. Well onedrive somehow hasn’t detected ANY changes in the past 30 days, so there’s nothing to restore to apparently.
So is that it? Everything’s gone because of this program I didn’t even realise was running in the background? If so, does anyone have advice on how to clean these now corrupted ‘inaccessible’ files from my PC that are still searchable in the directory?
