Friends sprung a surprise 5 day hike on me (partner had me book the week off work). Not a fan of exposure so Northover ridge was a huge challenge and I slept better when that was over.

Smoke and rain, but otherwise some pretty fantastic places and great company. Met 1 young curious grizzly just after Northover on the screw, but tonnes of sign around the Great Divide trail section.

Will happily never cross Northover ridge again 😂.

First of the year!

Grew up with tent trailers, but this is the first I’ve owned. After years of RTT before kids, and trying to tent with kids, it feels right!

Lost our 10 year old boy today to unexpected spleen issues. Too old and risky to operate. As someone who grew up with border collies I thought I’d never own another breed until I met my wife, who had this boy. Best family dog ever.

Edit: thanks for all the love and comments. Trigger would have given you all sloppy kisses.
