Guitar strings buzz in open D tuning

I just got a new Squier Sonic Telecaster and I tried open D tuning but find the strings are very buzzy.

I sent Fender and asked if there was an issue and they said the guitar ships with .009–.042 gauge strings, which do become very slack when the guitar is tuned down to open D and that is the main cause and it’s not a manufacturing issue so they can’t help and the guitar otherwise seems fine.

Is there any suggestions? I will say the third string from the top buzzes even in standard tuning though.

I’m a complete guitar noob so please use simple terminology haha

Any HENRY’s in Scotland? If so, what do you do and how old are you?

I’m a 28 year old Scottish lawyer living in London (originally from Edinburgh) and I became a HENRY this year because I moved to a bigger law firm in London.

If I stayed in Scotland, it would have taken me at least another 10 years before I would likely become a HENRY (£150k+), even if I worked at the highest paying firm in Scotland because I don’t think any lawyers get that much until hitting partnership (and it takes on average 10 years to make partner from what I can tell).

It’s frustrating because I liked living in Edinburgh but it just felt like a long time to wait. And I didn’t do anything special, I’m basically doing what I was doing in Scotland.

I’m curious to know if anyone on this sub (which I think is largely London-centric) lives and works in Scotland.

If so, what do you do, and how old were you when you became a HENRY in Scotland?

I presume there will be a lot of business owners, and anyone that’s not a business owner hit the HENRY mark late 30’s early 40’s?

How did Avon and Stringer work together for so long despite having totally different business strategies?

I suspect it’s that Stringer followed Avon’s orders to a T and only really changed up after he got a taste of being the boss while Avon was in jail?

But it seems odd that he never clashed with Avon prior to this.

Numerous characters talk about Avon beating this crew and taking over these corners and towers, or partaking in that war in the past… so was Stringer originally all in favour of going to war and street beefs originally… until he got to the “top”, at which point he decided “we don’t need to war anymore”?
