Just wondering if this mystery bundle might be worth it.

We just bought this piano for £200 on Ebay. Think it needs tuning. My son has been playing it for about 4 weeks now his dad taught him this tune and we are going to start getting him lessons from October because he loves it.

Any ideas of similar songs he can learn for the muscle memory?

My son asked for a metal detector for his birthday. I had my eye on a Nokta midi but didn't want to spend that amount in case he wasn't interested. I settled and managed to find a National Geographic Explorer for £50. It has 3 detect modes, an led display. I've tested it with my own coins and it is seemingly accurate for surface reads.

Here is where I need to know if its our technique or the MD we are using... we have only been able to find a can. We have dug and dug and dug where it beeps but nothing. It will beep once but not continuously beep over something - does that mean there's nothing there? He is really enjoying it but becoming very frustrated that we can't find any kind of metal lol.

Any advice? Do we just keep trying? Taking it to the beach in a couple of weeks and that might be easier
