Cross Tenant Synchronizaton / Enterprise APp Provisioning issues?

I added some users to a group assigned to a Cross Tenant Synchronization config this morning and 3 hours later they are still saying not in scope for provisioning.

I even manually assigned them to the app, turned provisioning off and back on, still no dice. Anyone else seeing this?

2 reseller autopilot importers broke

Hello, we order computers from both Lenovo direct and a CSP in Canada.

Our most recent order from Lenovo did not show up in our autopilot, and a reseller sending us an invite link is showing on their end that we are not a customer, despite us being able to see them as a reseller in our M365 admin center.

Just wondering if anyone is experiencing anything like this, or if there might be some audit logs to check into, or do we need to go to M365 support?

Columbia Star Range Square Medium?

https://www.columbiasportswear.ca/en/p/star-range-square-backpack-medium-2145381.html?color=010&pid=195982883564

Taking a gamble on this bag. I've read it is one of their Japan market products which is usually higher quality. It's 840D nylon and YKK everything.

This bag ticked a LOT of boxes in what I was looking for while also being very minimalist.

It's gong to replace my dad bag - a Zorali Escapade, which I love, but can't deal with the top loading any longer while on the go with a toddler lol. I also like the layout of the extra external pockets for camera gear and maybe a tiny camera lens or 2.

Looking for a bag with a layout like Pakt ED 22l or Alpaka Elements Pro

Just want a basic backpack with 2-3 stash pockets on the outside, but importantly one has to be on the upper outside with a little depth to it that can fit some tiny camera lenses.

Doesn't need to be a $200+ bag, something North Face quality would suffice, but to nitpick I prefer sternum straps that have the hook and loop versus the ones that slide on a nub...mainly for a backpack strap camera clip.

Should I go back to m43 or try out Fuji? (Olympus E-P7 vs. X-E4)

Hey there, I shot m43 for a decade, but gave Sony (A6700) a solid try for the past 1.5 years. It just hasn't clicked, I don't like a bunch of things about that camera despite loving the lenses and autofocus.

I still have a tiny Olympus EPL5 and 17mm f1.8 prime and the tipping point was realizing I'd rather take that tiny body out to snap a photo of my kid while playing in the yard. It can fit in a sweater pocket so I can free up my hands and it weighs nothing.

So I want to build as small of a kit as possible. And avoid fully articulating screens which I can't stand using for photography.

I have never tried Fuji, much of it has always appealed, but the native Fuji lenses just never clicked with me, there were always too many gaps, but I think that has narrowed now with third party lenses.

I am considering buying an X-E4, it's bigger than I'd like but very light. Lenses I'm interested in:

  • Fuji 15-45mm (wish it was a collapsing pancake zoom, but it's small enough and IQ seems great)
  • SG-Image 25mm f1.8 (owned this for past 12 months on the Sony and love it)
  • TT Artisan 35mm f1.8 II
  • Brightinstar Star 12mm f2 III - IQ seems good, it's cheap so I can keep it in the bag when I need a UWA for waterfalls and such. It's still bigger than I'd like, Fuji is really missing a sharp UWA f2.8 to f3.5 cupcake/pancake UWA prime, or a slower and smaller zoom like the Sony 10-20mm f4 G

I'm mainly worried about AF and face detection with Fuji, it seems like a wildcard and I've read mixed things. Also I've heard that third party lenses might not AF as good since Fuji locks down their electronics or something like that. I don't need crazy AF-C like Sony or anything, but I need a reliable box on someone's eye, and with focus release priority that it will snap an in focus photo when it does get acquired.

Alternatively I'm looking at a Olympus E-P7 which is a little smaller. Has IBIS but I'm ok living without that.

Lenses for Oly are smaller across the board: Laowa 10mm f2, Oly 14-42mm pancake zoom, Oly 17mm f1.8 and Oly 25mm f1.8 but m43 has some other compromises. Still contrast AF but at least it's insanely fast in AF-S. I'm also worried about the future of m43 outside of wildlife. There is a new PEN camera coming, but knowing OM it'll attempt to appeal to photographer and vloggers alike, be too large, have an articulating screen and they'll probably still give it contrast AF.

I really like that Fuji is making purpose built cameras like the XM5 to be as small as possible, and the XT or XE series which are photography purposed with flip screens, etc... I wish other manufacturers would do this instead of making every camera a hybrid that appeals to as many people as possible.

Back to m43 or try Fuji?

Hello, I switched to an A6700 after many years with m43, but I find the body too chunky and the shooting experience not enjoyable...this is a number of things from articulating screen, to dials, to mushy shutter and how the UI feels when focusing, etc...

I've settled on trying to figure out the most compact setup possible and landed on a couple of options. Price is not really the issue, it's more features and size. I currently have an E-PL5 which is the perfect form factor for me, but the camera's AF or rather subject detection is not great, and it suffers from shutter shock while lacking EFCS. I've kind of settled on switching because if I was to go out and play in the yard with my kid, I'd grab the tiny EPL5 over the A6700.

IBIS and EVF are not necessary, nice to have but I'd rather not have them if it means a smaller body. However an EVF addon is a huge plus for the odd time I might want to carry a tele around with my compact kit, like while on a hike, rather than needing a second, larger body.

I also ruled out the Lumix cameras with the hybrid shutters that max out at 1/500s mechanical... I take a lot of photos of my toddler moving fast and don't want to deal with rolling/electronic shutter.

I also can't stand articulating screens.

  • Olympus E-PL7. Pretty close to the ideal size, ergonomics and decent build quality. I'm just hesitant that it's so old of a camera and I'm unsure the AF is up to the task.
I would pair it with Laowa 10mm, 14mm f2.5, 14-42mm EZ, 17mm f1.8 and 25mm f1.8. These lenses cover everything I want and they're all so tiny so I'd never care about having 2 or 3 of them in a bag.
  • Fuji X-M5. Kind of a wildcard. Has an articulating screen which sucks, but other than that it seems perfect. Has a new sensor and PDAF. APSC also has a benefit of base ISO 100 which means a stop faster aperture without needing ND filter.
I would match this with 15-45mm kit (not a full pancake), 18mm f2 pancake, SG 25mm f1.8 pancake and some small 35mm prime. Maybe a Manual 12mm f2 lens just to have for wide angle. Little worried about the lenses, while there are a couple of pancakes, overall it's not as pocketable
  • Olympus E-P7 - Largest of the 3 cameras, but not by much. No EVF port. Shipping from ebay/Japan I'd have to pay import fees to Canada so I'd be looking at $900 for a 5 year old camera with contrast AF, while the XM5 is $1200 with kit lens. Still the AF is not great. Also I've seen in reviews that the body is flimsy and the plastic bends and squeaks when you squeeze it...I would hate this.

I think I like the lenses better for m43 but not liking the cameras. I'm also worried about the future. Are we getting another PEN camera? Are they going to purpose make it small or compromise on the wrong things and we end up with something big with an EVF, 100 stop IBIS, articulating screen for a photo centric camera, but still contrast AF? On the other hand Fuji has at least committed to purpose built small cameras and things like. Should I ever want an EVF and IBIS well the X-E5 is the same size as a PEN-F but has a 40mp sensor, pdaf, no articulating screen, etc.... and m43 will have the gigantic OM-3, so I can see it making more sense in the long term to buy into that ecosystem.

Hey there, set up MTO, I've been told this has a 'unified' Teams experience but I think that is a lie. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/microsoftteamsblog/announcing-more-seamless-collaboration-in-microsoft-teams-for-multi-tenant-organ/3901092

User1 in TenantABC is synced to TenantXYZ
User2 in TenantXYZ is synced to TenantABC

If User1 searches for User2, they can find the person, start a chat, but this 1:1 chat lives in TenantABC.

If User2 searches for User1 inside of TenantXYZ and starts chatting, the first chat that existed doesn't sync or update. It's a separate chat that lives in the opposite tenant.

We need to split into 2 tenants for regulatory reasons and we were hoping to have a more universal 1:1 chat experience, but is this going to be the reality?

This doesn't really 'feel' like multi-tenant, it just feels like 2 people that happen to exist in 2 different teams orgs. In a way this feels even worse than just talking to an external user. Because at least there they are both seeing the chat in their own tenant.
