does Keycron make a basic mechanical keyboard w media-controls AND kvm compatibility?

I am looking for a new mechanical keyboard which would be compatible with my IOgear USB KVM, while also including basic media controls, e.g. volume. I have previously learned that I needed a keyboard which could be 'downgraded' to generic HID aka "bios mode". There are plenty of cheap (non-mechanical) keyboards that do this but I really prefer the feel of mechanical. Unfortunately, most of those are fancy programmable models, i.e., not HID.

NEED TO HAVE

  • full-size w 10-key
  • mechanical switches
  • volume up/down/mute
  • wired USB connection
  • HID or 'bios' mode

NICE TO HAVE

  • media play start/pause

According to Claude AI the Keychron 10 Pro meets all these requirements but from scanning the User Manual, I'm not so sure, e.g. there is no mention of bios mode or kvm compatibility. Also, it includes wireless connectivity and QMK programmability, i.e., it doesn't sound like it uses an HID connection.

Is it possible to use the Keychron 10 Pro as a basic HID keyboard? And/or, is there another Keychron (or other brand) model which would satisfy these requirements?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I couldn't recharge my brand-new Muse; it was the USB charger!

I have a brand-new Muse S Athena which I only intend to use for sleep tracking (and hopefully Deep Sleep Boost). It worked fine the first night. I plugged it into a USB charger all-day, but then found it was almost dead when I tried to use it the second night.

After the first use, I had simply removed it from my head and connected it to charger. So my initial thought was that maybe it had to be explicitly turned-off before charging? Nope, I tried that but it was still near-dead.

Then I saw the posts here about 5V-charger-only. Almost all my USB chargers are now USB-C PD capable, and I assume that plugging-in a non-PD device will result in 5V charging. I don't know, maybe the Muse 'presents' itself as PD-capable? Anyway, I plugged it into an older non-PD charger ... and it charged properly. So I suspect there is something non-compliant about the USB port.

buy direct vs from Amazon, e.g. for ext warranty?

I am planning on buying a new Muse S Athena and would like advice on WHERE to purchase it from.

  • If I buy direct I assume the company makes more money, but then I don't see any extended warranty option.
  • If I buy from Amazon I can add an ext warranty ($50 for 2-year, $60 for 3-year). How likely is it that I would need that?

Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

suggested upgrade for sub-gbps network with wired backhaul?

I have an Eero 6 acting as my main unit with an older Eero 5(?) as the extender. That older Eero is now flaky and needs to be replaced. But I am confused by all the proliferation of new models and I am hoping there is a simple answer to best-and-cheapest replacement.

I think the two most significant criteria are that I only have 200 Mbps Internet and that I have a wired backhaul. I'm hoping that eliminate choices, e.g. I don't need any tri-band units with wireless 6 MHz backhaul.

My first thought was just to buy another Eero 6 -- and not the 'Extender' model since that does not include a wired connection. But maybe there's a good reason to get one of the newer units, then make it the master and move the existing Eero 6 to the extension?

Thank you for any suggestions!

'Follow DND' not working on Samsung S25

As I understand it, starting with Connect 5.22 for Android (circa Feb 2026) there is a single-toggle option for "Follow Do Not Disturb Behavior" which should stop the watch from notifying+vibrating for notifications which the phone itself has suppressed due to DND. I only just learned about this feature and enabled it last week. But it is not working, i.e., the watch keeps notifying me of spam-calls that my phone correctly ignores.

Is it just me? Or, is my particular phone/OS not working? Or, am I doing something wrong?

PHONE

  • Samsung S25 on latest OneUI 8.5, Android 16, June 2026 patch-level
  • DND = always enabled, only allow notifications from known Contacts
  • I have confirmed that DND is working as-expected, e.g. if my wife calls me, the phone lights-up and rings. But if an unknown number calls me (I get at least a dozen spam calls/day) the phone appears to do nothing; if I happen to be using the phone, I see the incoming-call icon at the top but there is no ring or vibrate (much less the phone waking-up if unused)

GARMIN CONNECT

  • I have a Venu 3 with current firmware, Software 17.05
  • my phone is running Garmin Connect 5.26.1
  • In general I have all-default settings for Notifications, i.e., all apps are allowed
  • Once I learned of this new feature I toggled ON that one setting
  • in the list of apps (below the "Follow" toggle) I still have all apps enabled; I do not have 'Allow all apps' enabled, though, instead they are all enabled by-default still
  • as I understand it, that list of applications is not managed by the 'Follow' option, instead that controls if an app has notification-access AT ALL, right? So, if I disabled "Phone" I would lose ALL INCOMING CALL notifications?

Any suggestions or feedback is welcome, thank you!
