I’m overweight!
For the first time in over 10 years, I’m finally out of the Obese category! I feel so much better than I have in years, it’s hard to believe I still have so much more to lose to hit my goal (180).

For the first time in over 10 years, I’m finally out of the Obese category! I feel so much better than I have in years, it’s hard to believe I still have so much more to lose to hit my goal (180).
Backstory: when I (38M) got married in 2013, I was around 180lbs. Since then, I’ve gained quite a bit of weight, topping out at 285 in 2023, but got back down to 235 on my own before starting Zep. I just took my first dose last week, and have full faith that I’ll be able to reach my target weight, which is back to 180.
I just called my dad to wish him a happy Father’s Day. He and I have similar body types, so he’s always been on the heavier side most of his adult life. A year or so ago, he started the carnivore diet (much to my mom and sibling’s chagrin), and has actually lost quite a bit of weight. He’s tried to convince me multiple times to try it out for myself (which I always shoot down).
During the phone call, I brought up how my first week on Zepbound was going. He asked me what my goal was. When I told him, he said, “you’ll never reach that”, and that he was 175 when my parents got married, and despite all of his diet attempts over the years, he never has made it back down to that. I responded with, “okay, we’ll see.”
I can’t wait to prove him wrong.
Edit: Wow, you all are the best. Thank you so much for all of the encouragement and validation. I will absolutely be following up here either when I reach the goal, or when he finally concedes and acknowledges that I was right.
Not sure what this is. The only badge on it was the Toyota logo. I hope this isn’t just a Camry…
Custom badge, so I’m not sure what model it is. Apparently it’s worth anywhere from $400k to over $1M.
