After watching Hacks and The Comeback, I’ve been thinking about tv shows do to with how older women are treated within the entertainment industry. Does anyone have any recommendations for shows which centered around older women, especially (but not exclusively) in entertainment? I’m preferably thinking more of single-camera setups but any recommendations or points of interest would be welcome. Thank you!
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for movies where older women are the protagonists, especially (but not exclusively) if they are celebrities or within entertainment. Some films I was thinking of were All About Eve, The Substance, What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, but I would love to know about more movies which center women as they get older, as well as any commentary or sources you may have regarding their depiction within media.
