idk i mostly catch like 3-5 pounders so i don’t want a huge 5000 size reel, do u guys use bait feeders or is that just a gimmick

everyone’s telling me different opinions, some say u can catch whatever u want on a <100 dollar rod and some say that ur gonna wanna go all out cause ur gonna end up wanting a better rod eventually, thoughts? i’ve been looking at st croix rods and also combos for the same price as just the rod
