Elementor editor won't load on shared hosting - 503 errors on admin-ajax.php

Hi all,

I'm running into a persistent issue with Elementor on shared hosting (TMT Hosting) and wondering if anyone's found a workaround or solution.

The problem:

  • Elementor editor refuses to load - the left panel stays greyed out and unresponsive
  • Console shows repeated 503 Service Unavailable errors on /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
  • WordPress admin dashboard works fine, but anything Elementor-related times out
  • This happens consistently, not intermittently

What I've already tried:

  • Increased PHP memory limits to 512M in wp-config.php
  • Increased max execution time to 300 seconds via .htaccess
  • Adjusted Cloudflare WAF rules to exclude /wp-admin/ paths
  • Disabled non-essential plugins (Uncanny Automator, Query Monitor, etc.)
  • Running PHP 8.2.33

Setup:

  • WordPress with Elementor Pro
  • ~30GB storage, moderate traffic
  • Multiple plugins: ACF, Yoast SEO, Wordfence, GA4/GTM integration
  • Running on shared hosting

My question:
Has anyone encountered this on shared hosting and found a practical fix? Or is VPS/migration to managed hosting the only real solution?

Any suggestions appreciated!

My Diabetes Stort

Edit: Apologies for the typo. I meant ‘My Diabetes Story’

For additional context: I live in the UK. I’m a 39 year old male.

Back in 2015, a work colleague noticed I was peeing a lot at work. As they have type one diabetes, she tested my blood sugar levels. The result suggested I should go and visit my doctor, especially with my mum also being diabetic (T2).

Looking at my medical records, I went in early November and my A1c was 77 mmol/mol and that follow up with my doctor was required. HOWEVER, this was never communicated until Sep/Oct 2018 when I had tests for something else, and one of the nurses asked to confirm that I’m diabetic, to which I said I wasn’t. She then corrected me and told me I was. THREE YEARS LATER.

Since then I’ve been on numerous medications with mmol/mol fluctuating, despite increased use of Gliclazide and Metformin. I’m also on Ramipril and Atorvastatin.

I’ve even been going to the gym three times a week for a year, as well as cutting out snacking etc.

I’m angry and frustrated. I’m angry that there was a strong lack of care and poor communication from my practise. Whenever I have a follow up phone call with the diabetic nurses, all she says in her faint voice “should we increase your meds”.

Suggestions for Record Player as a Wedding Present

I am planning on buying one of my best friends and his partner a record player and speakers as a wedding present. I've set myself a rough budget of around £200.

It'll be their first record player. As someone with a Pioneer PL-990 player, I know not to gift something like a Crosby model.

I've looked at the following players:

audio-technica LP60XUSB Black
Audio-Technica LP60XBK

1 BY ONE Bluetooth Turntable System with 36W Bookshelf Speakers

I'm looking for some advice on what to get them in my budget.

39M Type-2 Diabetes managed by medication. (possibly dislocated toe)

Woke up this morning with what felt like slight cramp in my fourth toe (the one next to the little toe). When I looked at it, it was visibly raised and crossing over toward the third toe rather than lying flat in line with the others. It seems there’s some swelling around the base joint area.

I didn’t notice any specific impact or injury. It just seemed to happen overnight.

I’m at work today so can’t easily get to a minor injuries unit, and getting a same-day GP appointment at short notice in my area is difficult. I’m also attending a festival from Friday for three days which involves a lot of walking.

My main concerns are:

• Whether this looks like a dislocation or fracture
• Whether it needs urgent treatment today given my type-2 diabetes
• What I can safely take for pain relief given the diabetes (I’ve been advised to avoid ibuprofen)

Would zinc oxide tape but a good solution?

Any advice appreciated, particularly from anyone medically qualified

I recently noticed Apple Music was taking a fair bit of storage on my 128gb iPhone. From doing some research, I’ve deleted the app, restarted my phone, and redownloaded the app.

This evening I deleted the app, installed the iOS update, and then downloaded the app again.

As you can see, it’s still taking up a chunk of storage. I only ever stream music and don’t download anything.

It’s clearly a cache issue, and like several iOS apps, there’s no easy way to clear it.

I’m looking for suggestions on other ways to potentially clear this data.
