A quick lube shop in town stripped and overtightened my oil plug with an impact and now nobody can remove it. I went to 3 different places and the final verdict was to replace the whole pan. Unable to afford that at this time but my oil needs to be changed ASAP. Any recommendations?
I went to 3 different shops to get the plug out and no one was able to remove it and have been informed that I need to replace the oil pan if I’d like to change my oil. Apparently this is not going to be cheap. The last few oil changes were completed by GCOC, clearly used an impact each time and damaged the plug beyond repair. If the plug was in bad condition the last time, why wasn’t a replacement plug recommended on my last oil change to begin with? Is there anyway the shop could be held financially responsible for this?
