Disappointed in my polished Petosky

My husband and I went to Petosky a month ago. We are new to hounding and tumbling. We didn’t see any obvious rocks. Another couple pointed out a few that had potential. When we got home we cut them open and found that one indeed looked like a Petosky.

I tumbled 1/2 in my tumbler through all the stages including 22000 micro alumina. The other I have begun handing polishing the other half. I wanted to see the difference in the results. I posted photos, one with them dry and one wet.

First, I was shocked at how much was lost in the first stage of tumbling. The two rocks in the photo are the two halves. Is that normal?

Second, the tumbled rock has gone through the entire process including 22000h grit micro alumina. It doesn’t look much better than the half I started hand polishing. Why?

I’m nervous now that I might ruin both halves.

Big problems with PTO. QB knows but they are not telling subscribers and it could be costing you money!

Right now there is a known issue with PTO policies and accruals in QBO. The balances in many employees records are wrong. We suddenly have employees with unlimited vacation. There is no prevention to keep employees from taking and being paid for vacation they aren’t entitled to unless a supervisor happens to know it isn’t available. They can’t rely on the system to give them the correct information.

I asked why we weren’t informed. I found this 12 days ago!!!! It was known before I contacted them 12 days ago. The CSR said this is a known problem throughout the US but Intuit isn’t sending out a notification to subscribers until it is fully understood!

They are leaving every employer at risk of these costs. Intuit is so cowardly. They can’t admit there is a problem. This is unethical. Are they going to reimburse all the companies for vacation that was overpaid?

We need to flood them with complaints. Check your employees vacation balances. Figure out how you will do this all manually. This has been going on for quite awhile and they don’t know when it will be fixed.

EDITED: SEE THE SCREENSHOT I POSTED IN THE COMMENTS BELOW. I wanted to upload a screenshot of my chat with Intuit CSR. I couldn’t find a way to do that here on the original post. I added it in a comment below. I’m just trying to make the QBO community aware as Intuit intentionally is not.

I found these on a trail that had been a railroad in central Wisconsin. What type of rock is this with the quartz looking rock?
