3 days over 100°F: grass went dormant, clover stayed green
Eastern MA, (zone 6b) last week’s heat wave. I didn’t water at all.
The grass browned out and went dormant. The white and microclover I overseeded into it stayed green the whole time. (Working on transitioning to more and more clover over time). Deeper taproot, plus it fixes nitrogen for the grass.
Less water, less fertilizer, never looks fully dead in the worst week of summer.

Rabbits Eating Clover 6b
I’ve noticed an uptick in rabbits in my yard that has a lot of clover (both white and micro) mixed with grass. Anyone else have rabbits eating your clover? Are rabbits attracted to it?
