Seat haptics

What are people using these days?

I had two jetseat pads from Andre's shop but unfortunately both broke. Most recent one just does not turn on anymore. Last used it one morning ago and it just quit.

If the HF8 Pro more durable?

I currently use simshakers for Aviators so would like to continue using that.

IPD Visual Reference Request

This past month I've been enjoying my Dream Air.

But I've also been struggling with eye strain and I've managed to reduce some of it by changing my foam cushion, adding some shims, and using the Studioform XP-1 interface.

I'm measured at 62mm but I set the IPD to 64 as that seems to relax my eyes but it's not 100%. Focusing on close items and then changing view, over time back and forth still causes a weird feeling in my eyes..like they are pulling outward or too open. It's a lot less strain than I was having before but still kind of annoying.

My only application is DCS. So I am constantly using my eyes and my head to scan inside and outside the cockpit.

Since the Air doesn't have an IPD adjust knob, can we get some software calibration visual that allows you to stare at something while changing the IPD at the same time?

I feel like I'll will never get it right because I have been using the test environment in steam but I have to squint, close one eye, go to pimax client, change ipd, go back to steam environment, check again..repeat process until I get a headache if I'm playing with the values too much.

It would be nice to be able to change the ipd while you are actively looking at something to confirm if it is right or wrong.

I never had so much trouble setting this with any other headset.

Eye Strain with facial gaskets for Air?

Anyone else have minor eye strain with the Zeefly max vented gasket?

I'm using it with the 12mm foam pad. The first time I wore the headset with this interface it felt like it normally feels when you get an updated glasses prescription until your eyes get used to it.

The other times I used the headset it seemed to get better but after some time there is still some eye strain.

But I don't understand how to get it right because I'm seeing everything crystal clear so not sure how to correct this.

With the XP-1 interface I didn't experience this with the 12mm foam pad.

But I do like the little extra FOV from the max vented gasket.

By the way it's almost end of July so hopefully the Pimax interface will start shipping.

Also I did measure my IPD using several apps and it does match what my optometrist measured as well which I set to 62.

New facial interface question

I bought the dream air slam from Microcenter.

The stock interface is incredibly uncomfortable and I can't effectively wear the headset more than 20-30 minutes without a giant red mark on my forehead and then pain.

I asked Pimax support if I can get the new facial interface once it starts shipping if I provide my proof of purchase.

Support said it's not possible and only available for customers that ordered through the website?

Sounds like I would need to return it and wait until my store has new stock in but there is no way of knowing when that will happen.

Can anyone verify this information?

Anyone use the XR for DCS?

I currently use a quest pro for this flight simulator.

Curious to hear any impressions about the XR and DCS?

Looking at a Pimax dream air SLAM but based on their timelines and quality control it seems like a lottery to get a good headset without issues.

Anyone move to Dream Air from Quest Pro?

I'm interested in the Dream Air Slam. But I been reading a lot about the experiences here with the Dream Air and there's mixed signals from various reports about the FOV.

One thing I really like is the lenses in the Pro lets me see clearly throughout from pretty much edge to edge.

I would prefer to not use Link cable anymore and constantly have to load up meta services before each sim.

Is the FOV on the Slam much smaller? Or is it similar to a point I won't notice it much?

For reference I've had a Rift cv1, an odyssey and odessey pro, a G2 and now the Quest Pro.

The G2 was my least favorite. The resolution was fine but I absolutely hated only the absolute center was clear/crisp. At some points it gave me headaches because of this.

Force feedback settings options for dcs

Got a moza ab6 and I'm confirming moza cockpit is configured for DCS and I'm seeing the default profile for Phantom selected in the software for moza.

In DCS I have ffb setting enabled. In the phantom stick is limp while flying and only shakes intermittently when doing high AOA maneuvers.

Can anyone post DCS special settings tab an settings tab pics of what the settings should be set to?

In moza discord people say tune the profile to your liking but I have no reference point as I never had a ffb stick/ base before.
