Thoughts about more neutral language?

Hi,

I was wondering if it has ever been considered to change the overweight/obese/very obese categories to more neutral language (or what reads more neutral to me) so that it matches the healthy/very healthy on the other side?

I think the Charlie avatar should stay the same and looks cute whether he is very obese or very healthy, but I think the language can be a bit triggering to people who are actually overweight.

Like people who are overweight don’t need ANOTHER reminder that they’re overweight when they’re trying to do something about it. Since bodies and their shape are very much not neutral in our societies (and fat people being constantly reminded in small or big ways that they are overweight), I think that it could be positive to use more neutral terminology like "less healthy", "unhealthy" or "very unhealthy"

I’m airing this because I recommended the app to my friend who recently gained weight, and is overweight, and she deleted it because she found the reminder of it triggering (and not motivating), esp when she didn’t reach her steps. Due to this experience, I have been reluctant to recommend what is truly one of my favorite apps to friends who are overweight or obese.

What do others and developers think?

Recs for workout clothes that trap the least amount of sweat and heat

I recently got this, it’s not particularly dry nor has it itched, but I noticed that even on my short and calm walk earlier, the minute I got a bit warm, it started itching under my waistband. I am worried this will get worse, so I wanna be prepared.

I‘m already planning on exchanging wearing a bra for a tighter fitting merino or tencel top as a base layer (to avoid the band), but since most of my rash is around my upper waist, I was wondering if anyone had any recs for workout clothes that are lower waist and don’t have a thick band, but are still able to comfortably stay on you even if you have a bit of a stomach?

I was briefly thinking about a workout dress, but since I workout outside and it’s so cold here, that’s a no-go. Any other creative solutions?

Some background: Due to SNRIs, I get warm incredibly fast, and start sweating A LOT the minute I do. I even live a place where temps have peaked at only 18°C this summer, and they’re mostly around 12-13. To put into perspective how much I sweat: From a 90 min zone 2 walk in windy 12 degrees, I will return with a completely soaked through t-shirt even if I walked without a jacket for most of the walk.

Also: I have no intention of pursuing a sedentary lifestyle because when I had one due to long-COVID a couple of years ago, I ended up with a herniated disc and sciatica so painful and limiting that I promised myself to live a life where I did what I could to not experience this again.
