Gutted; can my aqua cab be saved?

TLDR; how to safely remove super glue from aquamarine and silver?

First four pics are after the jeweler “fixed” it, fifth pic is before he fixed it, last two pics are of the loose stone before setting.

I got this loose aquamarine cab set with a local jeweler. After just a week, it was extremely loose in the setting. I took it back to the jeweler and he said it was because I chose silver which is too soft, and I probably banged the setting and made the prongs loose. I asked if a more secure setting would be helpful or can he tighten the prongs and he said no the setting is fine and it doesn’t need to be tightened because even loose the stone won’t fall out. I expressed concern about the setting scratching the stone with it being constantly moving around in there and he said no because it “takes a lot” to scratch aquamarine. I said it would make me more comfortable if he could tighten the prongs and he agreed. He took it in the back and when he brought it back he said he also used superglue. He put it in a bag and gave it back to me. I had my 5 month old in my arms and my 3 year old with me, so I didn’t really have time to glance at the work, and just trusted him. I’m looking at it now and it looks awful- there’s a film of glue all over the back and all over the silver setting. A silver polish cloth is not helping. There even looks to be a film over the front of the stone. It used to be so smooth and now it feels chalky almost and it looks dull and like crap. What can I use to clean off this glue residue from the stone? I’m so upset.

EDIT to say I’m really non confrontational and it was hard for me to even go back in to get the prongs tightened after only a week and he looked a bit annoyed with me. It’s also kind of far from me and I always have the two kids with me, it was really hard to find the time to even get it “fixed” the first time :( so I was really hoping I might be able to clean it at home…

EDIT #2: THANK YOU to everyone for your suggestions and talking me off a ledge! The acetone worked :)

Almost 5 month old!

Dad is blue/grey, mom is brown, big brother is icy blue. Paternal grandparents both blue, maternal grandparents hazel and brown. My prediction is hazel, like maternal grandma!

Heavily included aqua cabochan - set in silver or yellow gold for necklace?

I personally enjoy the imperfections, but since this is not a high quality piece I was thinking of setting in silver for a fun necklace, so as not to spend so much money (a local jeweler will set it for me). But, I do like the look of yellow gold better. These are not the exact settings he will order but just an example.

What do you think?

3 year old needs to be potty trained by September for prek 3…

My TLDR question is: how many accidents per day are reasonable/normal before I should just accept he’s not ready/go back to pull-ups?

My 3 year old (may birthday) did incredible with a modified oh crap method starting at 2.5. Pantless, he’s a potty training genius. Introducing underwear has been a huge struggle but he’s been in them since January and things were looking up in Feb/march. I figured no problem, he’d be golden by September because of how well he was doing. He self prompts poops 80% of the time but NEVER pee. We only have a little more than three months left and he’s still having 1-2 pee accidents a day on average. If he goes a day without accidents, it’s only because I’ve been really on top of getting him to the bathroom every 30 mins to an hour, and he’s just held it in between. He will repeat back that pee goes in the potty, and he generally is good about going on command before leaving the house, having a nap, etc. but he definitely is not fully understanding the concept. For example we started with giving him an m&m every time he used the potty. This morning he announced that he peed in his pants, and then asked for an m&m. So obviously things have not clicked for him. My intuition says to stay the course and just power through, but today has been a particularly challenging day with a poop accident and two pee accidents before 2pm and I am ready to put him back in pullups.

Any advice for the next 3 months?
