How does it feel to finally finish your degree?

It took me a much longer time due to being disabled to finally finish my bachelor's degree and I've tried many times until I finally found this school.

I am not sure how to feel honestly and it's starting to hit me that I finished. I never thought after the first time that I dropped out of University that I would ever be able to finish.

I have done a lot throughout my career entrepreneurially after hitting rock bottom when I first dropped out. I have learned a lot of skills which has led to me being able to live a digital nomad lifestyle for a while but this will be one of many degrees that I would get.

Now I'm waiting to start my masters of arts and organizational leadership and I also want to take the Masters in American studies after that. I'm also looking into MBA programs that are not online but are in schools in Asia specifically due to special scholarships that I can get being a citizen of the country that I am originally from.

But overall I feel even though I accomplish something that there's still much more from me to accomplish but just recently it finally hit me that I did do something positive that will change the trajectory of my life because I chose to put in the effort and show that I am capable of doing something that 5 years ago I would have never thought was possible.

Getting a DBA from South College or an MBA from a University in Taiwan

I am currently in the process of finishing my (MAOL) Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership degree from the University of Maine Presque Isle and I wanted to get a DBA afterwards based on research that I have done on Doctorate programs. My main goal is if I do not want to work full time for a company that I could adjunct teach or consult on the side as I have over 10+ years in Marketing and Business Development experience. I also am not sure how a masters in organizational leadership alone would be seen vs a masters or Doctorate in business administration.

However I am also a citizen of a Nation which gives out scholarships and stipends to study in Taiwan and in the past few years I met a few people who have studied undergrad and in Doctoral programs at multiple universities in Taiwan. If I decided to go to Taiwan it would be after I finished my first Masters degree.

I ask this specifically because I want to have no student loan debt as I have a bachelor's now with no student loan debt and once I finish my masters I will also have no student loan debt. My goals with getting either degree is for credential to be able to teach or to be able to consult full time for a few years. Another reason is many smaller nations are run by academics and credentials are much more prioritized then in the US or Europe in terms of getting certain positions in higher up government.

The difference between the two is one is a Doctorate that can be taken online and the other is a masters which comes with a scholarship. So in this case how would each one be viewed and would it be harder to get teaching positions anywhere in the world with only an MBA vs a DBA?

For more context as well I am a dual citizen of the United States and I have lived in many countries throughout my life and my goal right now is lifestyle over wealth accumulation.

Professor has not graded my assignment for 7 days

I ended up handing my final draft assignment last week however after 4 days I emailed my professor at the time who said that there was something wrong with the file So I resent the file and since then he still hasn't graded My final draft. I have been in contact with my advisor But it's been a full week since I handed in my final draft and I still feel sometimes that just in case something is not up to par. Has anyone had to deal with this situation before Because I'm already at the point where I have to wait one more day until My advisor has to escalate the situation.

Have you had to leave the sport because of health reasons?

I've been doing Bjj on and off for 8 years now but was very active from 2019 until 2022. Afterwards I moved countries and would train much less often. However I am much more muscular and where I live is super hot.

I had a mild heat stroke which led to me going to the emergency room and I was told by doctors Afterwards to avoid heavy cardio sports. Even worse 1.5 months before I sprained my ankle which in itself sucked and it made me work out much less then before.

For those who have dealt with this what have you done? I honestly stopped working out all together except for walking where I usually walk 10k steps a day or more.

What has your experience with Macau been like?

I recently took a trip to Macau after going to Shenzhen and Hong Kong to research moving to Shenzhen and during that time I was not impressed by the city outside of the Portuguese architecture. It was the only part of China where when I walked into a local restaurant the staff was trying to force me to eat with a fork because I am not Chinese.

I also find that outside of the architecture there is nothing interesting outside of the casinos and when I went to the Venetian I was happy leaving as the whole building is a labyrinth where once you get in there you feel trapped.

And mostly it was even harder to get around then Mainland China which was not that bad honestly compared to Macau. No Alipay for foreigners, no Grab/Meituan equivalent and much less convince stores then I am used to. It is like both the negatives of Hong Kong, Las Vegas and Portugal in one place however the architecture was beautiful but other than that I was more disappointed in what I experienced compared to what I thought it would be.

I got a 3/4 in a Final but I am confused on what else I saw with it. Did I pass my class?

Specifically on the rubric it says that I got a 3 for proficient however on the grading it says 3/4 then 2 for developing. So in that case did I fail or pass the class?

I got a 3.4/4 for my final draft but now I got a 3/4 for the final without changing anything as well.

Should I drop a class if the professor is not good?

For one of my classes I have professor Dobbs. And while I was finally able to pass one of the Milestones based off of his earlier critiques I'm not sure if it is worth handing in the draft final.

If I do hand in the draft final do I have to follow through with the class and then if not should I just drop the class beforehand? I already wrote the final in a way that I have passed other classes so I'm not sure if I should drop the course and go with another one or finish this course.

Has your career grown since moving to Bangkok?

I ask this as I have lived in Bangkok for 3 years and compared to when I first arrived to now I have gained more skills and learned more within how to run a business. I also went from dropping out of College and barely passing high school to now almost being done with my Masters degree in organizational leadership.

I asked this because the Trope of many foreigners who lose everything or who go downhill after moving to Bangkok however based off where I was before moving to Bangkok, I really didn't have as much in terms of opportunities just because of being in a place that I lived for a long time and the mindset that I had before moving to Thailand but in the end Thailand really did a lot of positive things for me in terms of letting you learn about opportunities that you didn't know existed.

How is the writing in the MAOL program compared to the BLS and Minor in Management?

Specifically how much writing is there in the Masters program over the liberal studies program? So far I'm very surprised how far I've been able to get so far even though it's only one week into the semester.

PowerPoint presentation in front of an audience and needing to be seen in the video head to toe?

I'm supposed to according to the the rubric of this class that I'm taking to video myself making a PowerPoint presentation however there's literally no way I could do any of the requirements. I'm traveling outside the United States, there's really no space for me to video myself head to toe and I'm definitely not getting three people to look at my presentation while I record myself so I honestly don't understand how I'm able to finish this class. If I don't do any of these require things and just record myself doing a PowerPoint presentation is that grounds for me to fail?

This is COM/BUS 210 btw
