Where in the UK is Sandford?

In the greatest opening scene of any movie ever (IMO), we see the survivors taking refuge in that large farm house. The boy who they let in says he has come from 'Sandford' and the older gentlemen tells them that it is a few miles away. Where would this be in the UK? I'm guessing in the south near London (outside M25) area since Don finds himself eventually in Central London.

Arizona for winter

Currently in Washington State, but I'm thinking of taking my minivan down to Arizona from mid-September through the winter.

The plan is to pick up some hotel, restaurant, or bar work while I'm there. I have a stealth camper setup, but I've never been to Arizona before.

My ideal routine would be something like:

  • Wake up in the van.
  • Shower/work out at 24 Hour Fitness (I'm already a member).
  • Go to work.
  • Explore or relax on my days off.

A few people have recommended Scottsdale, mainly because of the number of hotels, restaurants, and resorts.

Has anyone here done something similar in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area?

A few questions:

  • Is Scottsdale a good base for urban car living?
  • How difficult is it to find safe, low-key overnight parking?
  • Are there better areas around Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler, or Tempe that you'd recommend instead?
  • Any advice on finding seasonal hotel/bar/restaurant work?
  • Anything you wish you'd known before spending a winter there?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's actually spent a season car living in that area.

Ok, can someone explain this??

So I take this ride, I dont recall seeing anything different in the info that popped up before I accepted it.

So this latina lady, does not speak English and me trying to communicate to her with my bad Spanish, when I get to the drop off, she goes "How much do i owe you?", I said "Nothing, it's already paid for automatically". She then replies, "No, I owe you something". So here is me thinking she is new to the country and Ubering going back and forth with her that she owes me nothing and it's all paid for by card. Then I look at the screen and it says collect x amount. I said to her "I've never seen this way of paying before". So i tell her the amount and she gives me the nearest dollar amount as I certainly have no change. Again, my bad Spanish comprehended that she said it's like this for her because her card go blocked from the system. So when she get's out I close the ride expecting the cash amount was what I get then the App says I get more... WTF!!! Not complaining though!

- Edit

Ok, i worked out I must have turned cash del on by pressing the reset button in the delivery options, I had no idea this was there before but i guess that is Uber's default position for drivers to take cash. Thanks for explaining this👍

Trying to make a payment

I have a balance that I setup a payment plan for, however now I would just like to pay the full balance off. Whenever I go to the relevant screen and select the option to pay, 'Pay Full Balance' is greyed out, it has been like this for a few days. Could I just select 'Additional Payment towards plan' and pay the balance amount that way? If that worked I assume i would need to cancel the payment plan monthly payment else it might still collect. Anyone shed any light. TIA.

The only movie i found worth watching on my 8hr flight.

It was quite edited though, certain scenes were cut out. Where Samson is eating brains, the hook connecting with Jimmy girl's head and the face the crow is eating on the stone are ones that stuck out to me.
