Planning for Germany Winter 2027 — Should I Apply for APS Without IELTS & DMAT?

I’m planning to apply for a Master’s in Germany for the Winter 2027 intake and I’m currently preparing my documents.
I’m planning to take my IELTS exam around mid-November 2026. However, I also recently found out that I need to take the DMAT exam. I missed the DMAT exam conducted in September, and according to the official website, the next DMAT exam is expected to be conducted in the 1st quarter of 2027 (Jan–March).
My question is:
Should I apply for my APS certificate now in October 2026, even though I don't have my IELTS and DMAT certificates yet?
My understanding is that I can apply for APS based on my current academic documents and then, once I complete the DMAT exam in early 2027, submit the DMAT certificate/document afterward if required.
I’m a bit confused about whether:
- APS requires IELTS/DMAT at the time of application.
- I can submit the DMAT certificate later after receiving it.
- It is better to apply for APS now or wait until I have my IELTS and DMAT results.
If anyone has gone through the same situation for Winter 2027, especially Indian students applying for Master's programs in Germany, I’d really appreciate your experience/advice.
