Repairing a broken belt buckle

I want to repair this broken belt buckle for a friend and I’m wondering if anyone knows what kind of solder I should use for cast metal like this. I have oxy acetylene torches and Harris stay silv 15 solder as used in hvac applications. I have only soldered copper and silver before. I worry that the solder I have would be too high temp for this.
