Let’s be honest DC is kicking Marvels ass in the COMIC department. With DC having announced they will continue the Absolute Universe moving forward and relaunching Vertigo again. Marvel ending the Ultimate Universe again they definitely need a win. Don’t get me work I am excited for these comics, it’s nice to have some competition for DC and Marvel. I looked at the artist who is working on Spider-Man and I think their art is amazing biggest and I think arguing about them using the same popular characters isn’t that bad because the Absolute Universe did the same thing. But my biggest concern is that this feels like a rush job. Just last week they announced this universe and now they already have the titles lined up through August to October. It feels like they are just rushing it just to catch up with DC. The whole situation feels like DCEU attempt where they try to rush everything to compete with the MCU but fail miserably. Another concern is that Marvel is just looking at the superficial side of Absolute Universe and are doing horror to get audiences invested. I love horror but that is not what made the Absolute Universe popular with people, they weren’t just dark and gritty, they also focused on different genres and themes on each book. Absolute Batman focused on horrors that Bruce has deals with but also showed his inner strength, Absolute Wonder Woman had Diana raised in hell but she still gentle and treated everyone with kindness even her enemies, Absolute Superman had Kal El deal with corporate control but he also fought for his own humanity. They deal with different themes and genres and it’s not just horror. I just hope Marvel doesn’t drop the ball on this because they need something to get reader’s attention but I will try to keep an open mind.

Armor that resembles a bug or is made up of bugs. I find bug design really cool and unique. I love how they use bug designs to integrate into the characters armor.
