The first interaction that the movie starts with is adorable. I dig some cute, sparkly back & forth.

But then their pursuing/dating phase is so.. confusing? Icky? Looking at Suhani, one would think Aditya is genuinely bothering her & needs to back off. Eventually he invites her to his place for a family thing. She acts extremely disinterested in & put off by it. But she shows up! In fact, dressed to the T and even gives a full blown dance performance 👀 When her sister informs the parents that Aditya's parents will be coming by the next day, Suhani again seems like she's genuinely being harassed by this random man. That she has no interest or part to play in it. But when Aditya's parents come by the next day, she greets them as such an enthusiastic potential sanskari timid bahu. WTF?

The story picks up only when they marry. The wedding sequence is all hearts! The long distance marriage was quite fun. Of course the secret doesn't work out & they get disowned by their parents. All the trials & tribulations they face are well done. They're young with no relationship experience or mental/emotional support. Also in the building phase of their careers. The marriage was bound to be tough. The movie does a good job showing there is still underlying love & care.

The only post-wedding bit I didn't like was Aditya's behavior in the Goa sequence. The way he was grinding against Shamita Shetty, aggressively pulled away Suhani's dupatta, etc couldn't have been brushed aside without any acknowledgement. He was so wh*rish lol. I thought Suhani was supposed to be cunty & should have pulled up his case. Or at least their friends or Aditya's own conscience should have. But nothing

One element that took me by surprise - when Aditya confronts Yeshwant Rao (SRK), there is no yelling, physical assault, or blood split. Aditya does threaten him, but in a very low, emotional tone. My Telugu dominace era ass was genuinely taken aback by the calmness & dignity of the moment lol.

JASMIN & ADITYA dressed like they got normal, everyday clothes & weren't interested in making a fashion statement. Respect. So no comments on them.

AVIKA dresses like she thinks she's a fashionista. But the result we see is just cheap. I don't know how else to describe it. She wears so much at once, and none of it is very beautiful. Nothing she wears makes sense with the other. Too bad for someone with so many years in the industry, so much exposure and money, and obvious interest in dressing stylishly.

FARHANA is a fashionista! Banger after banger. Beautiful clothes & overall styling. No notes. Blush blindness h bandy ko but it's okay lmao. Relatable. Her eyeliner and hair game more than make up for it.

RUBINA is a diva! Her looks don't always land on point. But she experiments a lot & I respect that. Even when her looks don't land, the things she wears are never tacky. Just mismatched or need slight adjustment. When her looks do land, I want to copy so bad! She proves that divas don't need designer wear to stand out. Best part is she's so confident in her elaborate looks & her makeup is almost always perfect.

KARAN WAHI is understated & doesn't experiment as much as Farhana or Rubina. But he dresses like the textbook Cool Guy. Very classy. Best part is that he wears a lot of colors and fits without being flashy. He could teach men lmao.

ORRY dresses like a rich kid on vacation. Not bad but forgettable. He's just being himself ig

AVINASH dresses like a guy learning to dress like Karan Wahi (in a good way). Dresses well in a finding-his-real-style way. He's young, so makes sense. He's nice & clearly he will only get better.

GAURAV wears so much oversized + baggy + layers. He makes himself so bulky. I don't understand it.

RITWIK just copied trending streetwear. He doesn't dress badly. But his looks showed no personality or sense of what suits his bodytype. Like he buys everything on a mannequin at ​expensive streetwear stores & wears it as it is.

SHAGUN is like a girl next door with Pinterest. Very cute, very girly, simple & comfy.

RUHANIKA has the best active wear looks. She dresses very appropriate for her age & the show's theme. Always so comfy!

Generation AbhiMaan : 'Standard of living' is only thought of for Maira. Mukti should just be grateful that she was adopted instead of being thrown on the road. For Maira, there is always a proper legal custody procedure. To keep Maira comfortable, Abhira moved to Goenka Villa and gold digged Anshuman. For Vaani, Abhira just randomly told everyone that Vaani is her daughter & that was it. Changed Vaani's legal name, her parent's name, etc. Faked legal papers? We don't know. Abhira is educated enough to earn decent money or can still request money from Goenkas. But she kept Vaani in so much poverty for no reason. Vaani used to be a normal, decent driver' & homemaker's daughter. But Mukti is traumatized about things as small as lack of food & roof over the head. Abhira & Mukti looked like they are 2 days away from homelessness & treated 1 slice of bread like luxury. Also Abhira has turned Mukti a doormat like herself. She lives in a home where she was loudly hated by grandmother-figure and happily drinks charity mango shake because she sees abuse as love. Her mother stopped working even in that flop garage & was getting makeovers from Maira's pocket money. She started calling Armaan her father after knowing him for like 2 days. Now she's back to living in an unstable, abusive household where 🐍 behavior is considered love.

Generation KAira : Why was Krishna adopted? Goenka family was lectured and forced. Kairav was scolded and traumatized. Then leads forgot her like a child forgets a toy. She just moved to Suhasini's ashram with her. It reminds me of when mothers say "kutta laaoge tum, par paalney ka saara kaam mujhsy karwaaogey".

Generation AbhiRa : Abhinav literally came from the road. Akshara used him to commit fraud. Then she fought everyone to take custody matter to court fully knowing Abhinav will be the biggest loser. She used to tell Abhir how poor and dumb Abhinav. She used to overwork him like a horse for money, instead of using her privilege and elite education to pay her bills. She only pretended to respect him around others. In privacy, she used to yell at and insult Abhinav so much. But the public mask used to slip - she told everyone for no reason that she and Abhinav don't have s*x. Her way to romance him was repeated khayraat for her Abhimanyu era. Their marriage only lasted because for 6 years she had no interest in him & he had no family to kill. He died too soon, nahi tou usey bhi pagal kardeti. But even after he died, she named his daughter the word she coined for herself & Abhimanyu. Maut key baad bhi nai chora.

Comparison? When she was with Abhimanyu both times, she used to talk so politely. She was abusive to him too. But Abhimanyu ameer tha tou as boyfriend/husband/fiance, ussey baat karney ka saleeka maintain rakti thi. She took years to move on from Abhimanyu. Abhinav's body wasn't even cold in the grave when she started feeling chemistry and romantic fizaayein with Abhimanyu.

Birla siblings with Neil Birla​ was the only time an orphan was treated equally.

She is an established, successful actor. There's nothing wrong with achieving those things just a few years later in life. Actors commonly reduce their claimed & move on. But Shivangi is kinda obsessive about infantalizing herself.

Like during YRKKH her own fans started pointed out that she herself has shared a different age​ during her earlier shows, talked of enrolling in undergraduate college in Dehradun before TV career, & according to her claimed age her sister is only 3 months younger than her (😂). So her sister removed all her own birthday Instagram posts and Shivangi threw a weird party for the media to celebrate her parents' wedding anniversary and loudly highlight the years of their marriage.

It's also small things like during interviews when asked "What is the weirdest rumor about you", her costars shared actually weird or funny rumors. But Shivangi just used to say "my age. Main bohot choty hoon, I'm not old" 🤡.

But when none of that worked to convince neutrals, she started saying I used to claim an older age earlier to appeal cool. Kuch bhy? 😂 (Also how was it a 'weird rumor' if you yourself used to say it before your big break? 😂)

Her schoolmates have shared the school book on Twitter. Fudging age as an actor is not that uncommon or a big deal. But Shivangi is really obsessed projecting a "main choty hoon. main bholy aur pyaary hoon" image for some reason. That image doesn't need to be projected​​ if it's real. Even without you repeatedly saying those words about yourself, people will see it.

EDIT : Now in the show Shivangi has told contestants she is 26! Instead of her currently claimed 28! Also Shivangi has declared that Shilpa (who is vile to every living person) is vile to her because she is younger than Shilpa. Hadd hai 😂
