Car is on a k04 hybrid with the old GFB DV+ i had on the stock turbo. This reminds me of all the posts i see with a bad DV.
I also had installed an ARM intercooler but everything piping wise with that seems very snug.
The bigger exhaust manifold on the hybrid k04 changes the exhaust note like crazy! Has that growl to it now.
Finally got the turbo installed and it runs AMAZING. The car pulls so hard all the way to redline and the noises/flutter i’m getting from the GFB DV+ is intoxicating.
A little bummed that Stratified released their turbo after I had already got mine but this turbo is nothing short of amazing!

Monthly AutoX go around- this course was very miata friendly a lot of L turns and hairpins- but a blast none the less! Started the day with a 44.5, averaged 6 runs around 42.3, and snagged a 41.1 for my very last run putting me in 4th outta 20 in the rookie class.
Now the car sits in my garage getting torn apart to throw in my hybrid k04! super excited to see how the car tracks as i hear the k04x isn’t too too laggy.
Has anyone replaced a turbo recently? I can’t seem to source the crush washers (specifically the thick one) for the banjo bolt on the coolant return line
I’ll go, for me it’s Legend, The Line, Cottonwood, and although i’ll listen it’s still gut wrenching- the end of Center Mass. Have dealt with the loss of my grandmother over the last year and they always DEBILITATE me.
Wrapped up this months autocross last weekend. I had to run a staggered setup (200tw fronts, All Season rears) and it definitely made a very noticeable impact.
This guy i was running writhing .1 seconds last session was now almost 2 seconds faster than me. I just kept losing the rear end (stiff ass RSB with no grip will do that)
I’m excited to see how i’ll perform once I get my hybrid k04 in there, and a squared wheel setup again.
