3 years post surgery, second ACL repair on the left knee.

I had some major hiccups in my recovery the second time around. Lots of patellar pain. I had some major break throughs last spring and about a month ago pulled off this stunt. I finally feel like my left knee is as good as my right. Take your PT seriously, especially if you have a patellar graft. Bulgarian split squats are king.

(This is a world's first. Nobody has done this combo on a highline before. Only four or five people have done a standing backflip to feet on a highline).

First knife, mistakes were made, pointers welcome.

I think maybe I'm doing too much. Started by compressing the end of the rebar so it could be wider toward the tip. Then hammered a rough blade shape. Then tried to make the handle. I think this is where I messed up. I wanted the blade to be forward of the handle (like with most kitchen knives). So I tried to make two 45 degree turns to offset the handle so that when I folded the rebar around, the edge would be even with the front side of the handle. But while making the hand guard and the loop at the end of the handle everything got messed up.

I straightened everything out and tried again, but that just made everything more wonky.

I have no hardy tools (bending forks would probably make this easier) and I have only an angle grinder.

I also decided halfway though working with my home made tongs was shit and it was better to wear gloves and use a pliers.

From watching videos it looks like everyone uses a belt grinder for knife making. Any other major tools I should invest in to make this process better? Any other pointers for making the knife?

Also do you guys work on multiple projects at the same time? My forge is propane and seems like I should be working on a another piece of steel while my first project is heating.

Does a good N95 keep the smoke out of your lungs?

And do you have recommendations? I’ve got some yard work to do, and my throat hurts from the smoke.

Hate the ones over the ears they hurts. Also I probably need to shave my beard.

Pay per video, pay via affiliate link, or both. What works best for you?

I spent a ton of money to bring my product to market and now I need to spend more to advertise. I’m hesitant to send $200 dollars to a random dog influencer via Collabstr before event talking to them about what I want, making sure they’re interested, sending them product.

Seems like I’m going to have to spend a ton more money to figure out what really resonates with my customers.

Local gym is going out of Business - buy it or just talk to the land lord?

When a gym is evicted what happens to the equipment?

A local gym probably has around 250k worth of equipment built into the existing floor plan. Think gymnastic equipment, spring floors, air bag, custom shapped maps for the guy space. This equipment has almost no resale value because of the cost to assemble in a new gym.

The poor owner is barely making rent (he already asked for a reduced rent after his business partner died) and is trying to sell the gym. He wants 200k for the gym to settle his debt for the build out which was probably over 300k. His landlord wants a new tenant.

I feel bad for the guy, but it seams nobody would buy his business if they could just go to the landlord and get a lease agreement and have him evicted. I don't have the money to pay 200k and frankly the meager profits don't justify the price.

Honestly would love to help the guy. He is in way over his head, appears super depressed / burnt out.

Business is not good, 200k might ruin me if I cannot turn things around.
