Solution for oily skin
I’ve been struggling with extremely oily skin, especially on my face, and it’s honestly starting to affect my confidence. My face gets very oily throughout the day, and I also sweat quite a lot, so even after washing my face, it doesn’t take long before my skin looks really shiny and greasy again. About 1.5 months ago, I started using a salicylic acid face wash because I thought it might help control the oil and prevent breakouts. It has actually worked really well for my acne—I barely have any acne now—but the oiliness is still a major problem. My skin continues to produce a lot of oil, and I feel like I’m constantly worried about how my face looks, especially when I’m outside or around other people. I also drink around 3–4 liters of water every day, and my diet is generally pretty clean and balanced. I don’t eat much oily or greasy food, so I don’t think my diet is the main reason for this. I’m not sure whether I’m using the wrong skincare products, over-cleansing, not moisturizing properly, or if there’s something else causing my skin to produce so much oil. I’d really appreciate advice from people who have dealt with very oily skin themselves. What products, skincare routines, lifestyle changes, or anything else have actually helped you reduce excessive facial oil without damaging your skin?
