Confused and frustrated

Im 37 and have 200k in HYS. I have a trad ira that isnt invested, I went to the bank a couple yrs ago to try to invest my trad IRA and the banker basically said it would be a "tax risk" so I left without taking any action.

I have money and no investments, what do I do? Should I go back and invest the trad ira in index funds?

I just wish that I could call her

Just feeling very alone in my grief right now and maybe posting here will help. My mom died in Jan, I had to make the extremely difficult decision to put her on comfort care (aka remove all life support until she died, which I have no rehret about). She was my only family. I suffered a serious injury in May that has taxed my already weakened mental/emotional state. I have an amazing partner (both parents alive and wonderful) and 2 friends that understand the loss of a parent but Im feeling so frustrated and alone right now.

I just wish I could call her and talk to her but I cant.

Everything reminds me of her and its a nice experience most of the time but right now it feels a bit tortuous.

I dont have a brother or sister or uncle or cousin Im all alone in my family. I just wish that I could call her

Boot Wedge Question

Edit- I miraculously found someone giving away their Vacoped boot and she wears the same size as me. Im sanitizing it and will be researching how to use it, if anyone has tips for a newbie. Im excited because I've read great things but nervous because I dont have Dr guidance.

I had surgery to repair a full rupture 4 weeks ago and I transitioned from splint to an aircast boot at the 2 week post-op follow up appt.

My concern is that my heel has never touched the top of the heel wedge, with a solid 1.5- 2" gap. I believe this is due to my foot being in a fairly intense plantar flexion position but my instructions say Im supposed to start gradually removing wedge pieces and begin weight bearing now.

I messaged the Dr and he said to remove the bottom wedge as it was only there to keep the foot in plantar flexion but its hard to imagine removing a wedge piece and begin weight bearing if my heel doesnt even touch the top of the wedge.

Has anyone experienced this? Thank you in advance, this process is extremely nerve-wracking

From my 2 week post op appt discharge paperwork:

"⁃ Do not stretch against the boot; the only allowed motion right now is pushing down like pressing a gas

pedal

- Plan to stay in the boot for 4 weeks; then begin removing the heel lifts one at a time starting from the

bottom

⁃ Stay non-weight-bearing for a couple of weeks; when you start walking. wait until you are down a couple

levels of heel lift before doing major walking"
