Lash lifts aren’t for me…

Or for anyone with hyper sensitive eyes. I had a lash lift about a month ago, and while they were beautiful, my eyes had a delayed reaction to the perming agents. I really tried to love the lift, and I tried to maintain it for a couple days until my eyes started itching. I started getting this feeling of “there’s something in my eye” and I started getting these debris/crusts sitting on top of my lashes and it was what initially scared me because I thought they were lash mites. It started with severe itching, and my lashes feeling heavy when I would brush them up. I had an interview a couple weeks later, and I didn’t know that my eyes were already inflamed and it took the mascara to make it worse. I woke with a bump on the side of my right eye and it was there for weeks, only solution was warm compress. I tried everything, from diluted baby shampoo, to brushing them down, to even using an eyelid scrub just to keep them clean. I started washing them and scrubbing them gently, upwards and that’s what loosened the giant chunk of gunk in the middle of my upper lash line. My lashes are still curled from the perm but they’re finally sitting at their normal place. I’m still getting that foreign feeling and I’m still doing the warm compress and white, stringy gunk is still coming out of my right eye, but it made some progress. Lesson learned; I am never getting another lash lift ever.

So I never thought I would be one to have a bad customer service experience at my local Sephora, but here I am. Last Friday, I went after work and I was sniffing around for some perfume. I asked the male associate if the still had Vanilla Skin because the tester wasn’t there and the shelf was a little high for me to reach/see. This guy ended up giving me a piece of paper where he sprayed it on…

Today, I had an issue with my return from the same person. During the Sephora sale, I bought a body scrub by accident because the tub looks similar so I blindly grabbed the scrub instead of the lotion because it was the only one on the shelf. (I also bought the fenty dew’n plump serum on the same day)I kept the receipt in the bag because I wasn’t sure if I would love the texture or it match the absorption I was looking for in this body butter (or scrub by accident. The scent was great, it was tangerine) so I went another day and exchanged the scrub for the body butter and then also bought fenty gloss bomb stix. I tested it and it wasn’t as great as I thought, and gloss bomb was just too thick. Which brings me to today. I went to return everything today, because I had already a better one, and when I was at the counter, (along with my purchase) the same guy with the bangs looked at the bag I handed him, I told him I have a digital receipt because that what the lady on Friday did, he said “no it’s fine”, made a face and proceeded to process a return to what was on the receipt instead of what was in the bag. So basically now, instead of returning the fenty gloss bomb stix he entered the serum (because it was what was on the receipt) and didn’t even doubt check the bag if the items match what was on the receipt. I called the store after I got home and the lady “was so confused” and she thought she hung up the phone but I could hear their conversation and I overheard her talking to the guy who helped me and he laughed and denied that he made a mistake.

Now I have to go back again tomorrow to talk to their manger because they can’t help me on the phone and get this settled.
