Florence's music, like many, has helped me through a lot in my life. But Everybody Scream was more, the last 5 years have been a rollercoaster of hell for me and my child. Where everything is out of my control but I have to be strong and carry on. Fighting the medical system, research, finding go arounds and so much therapy and surgery. And then you add the dumpster fire of our country in, as they actively try to rip away my rights as women.
Sympathy Magic and old religion became my anthem through the days. Being able to hear both live was a dream, the whole concert was a dream.
I know she wont see this but thank you Florence, your words mean so much and you have no idea how many times I've screamed Old Religion. The anger and passion of that song encompasses all my feelings.
